Very good from Murphy. He can only do what he’s supposed to do but he would have been dreaming about winning the first three frames just to get back on level pegging.

We have been saying it throughout the Championship with Wu Yize, is this a red flag now? Can he, under pressure, produce? This is the first time he has been in a final and he has been pegged back at 10-10. What does he have?

Wu pots a red, but there is no luck on the position and he has himself snookered on the pink. He misses the one-cushion escape to give Murphy six points before hitting it at the second attempt, 6-1.

If you had told Wu he would be at 10-10 in the final he would've probably accepted it. It's the way it goes in a final, it ebbs and flows. Wu just needs a good chance to get himself settled.

Shaun Murphy - I wouldn’t say he’s flying out there, but he’s doing what he needs to do.

Played three, won three, exactly the start to Monday's play that Shaun Murphy would have been dreaming of.

A break of 52, after one of 76 in the previous frame, draws it level at 10-10.

Shaun Murphy started this frame by potting two reds in the same shot... he wasn't able to add any further points from that visit, but it looks like 10-10 is imminent.

Both players have missed chances at red, but then Shaun Murphy gets a chance and he takes it to have a good chance for a third frame in a row, 26-13 Murphy, still going.

"I think it is going to be really interesting. I am rooting for Shaun but Wu Yize is playing so well. In the session we watched yesterday he was unbelievable, he was barely missing anything," said Ethan.

"Wu is so exciting, if he wins it'll just be really good for the sport generally and Chinese snooker. Shaun will be really up for today though. I think his break-off has been working for him and expect him to stick to it and that is the right move."

This is pretty much the perfect start that Shaun Murphy would have wanted. He talked about it with his coach, but what he cannot afford to do it make an unforced error, and gift Wu Yize an opportunity to get his arm going.
