Saturday, 6 December
Semi-finals (best of 11 frames)
13:00 - Judd Trump v Neil Robertson
19:00 - Shaun Murphy v Mark Selby
Selby 6-2 Hawkins
Mark Selby was straight into the press room after defeating Barry Hawkins with a break of 83 sealing his win.
He has not been in the semi-finals in the UK Championship since 2016 but he described the table conditions as "unplayable" and said he had compared notes with Hawkins during the match about its condition, adding that it was "really heavy."
"It was an awful match from both," Selby continued.
"It's mad because it only got recovered before my last-16 game. Every time you played a screw shot the sound of the contact was like you were getting a kick."

Barry Hawkins trails 5-2 but a 138 clearance will at least have cheered him up a bit. That was sublime from 'The Hawk'.
Selby 5-1 Hawkins
Mark Selby is one frame away from the final.
It has not been fluent but he has just had a bit too much guile for Barry Hawkins tonight, who has played nowhere near his best and now lost three relatively close frames on the spin.
Murphy 6-3 Zhang
It has been far from superb snooker but Shaun Murphy will not care. He is in the semi-finals.

I think Shaun Murphy was expecting a tough match tonight and it has not transpired because Zhang Anda has played poorly. Consequently it has made Shaun switch off, thinking he is going to get two or three chances a frame which he has done.
Murphy 5-3 Zhang
Zhang Anda puts the final red up over the left corner and is fightback comes to a juddering halt.
Shaun Murphy, who has been struggling over the last couple of frames already has a slight lead and knocks it in before making the frame safe.
Murphy 4-3 Zhang
Over on table one Zhang Anda enjoys a run of 60 as his fightback against Shaun Murphy gathers pace.
Selby 4-1 Hawkins
Barry Hawkins looks to have done all the hard work and then can't drop a blue into the middle bag.
Mark Selby, needs pink and blue and has the spider out to play the first of those balls before confidently stroking the pink into the left corner.
Murphy 4-2 Zhang
A protracted sixth frame goes Zhang Anda's way.
Shaun Murphy must have been thinking about reaching the finishing line and missed a red to the corner with a rest. A collector's item.

Murphy will win the title. Masters, British Open & the UK Championship would be a great 2025.
Jay, Stafford
Murphy 4-1 Zhang
Shaun Murphy is coasting here. A run of 73 and another frame goes his way.
It is a long way back from here for Zhang Anda, albeit Murphy was in exactly the same predicament last night against John Higgins.
Selby 3-1 Hawkins

Love Snooker. Love Barry and Mark.
Will, Bolton
I love Barry Hawkins. He's a great match player and competitor. He could have possibly won a world title if it wasn't for Ronnie!

Murphy 3-1 Zhang
Meanwhile, play is just resuming over on table one.

From the sublime to the ridiculous. Mark Selby puts the fourth frame beyond Barry Hawkins after fluking the yellow.
He also knocks in the green before his fellow Englishman tries to get a snooker on the brown.
That is not forthcoming and when Hawkins goes in off, he concedes the frame and heads to the interval. This time last night he was wrapping up a 6-0 demolition job on Elliot Slessor.
Tonight he is just heading to the mid-session interval.
Murphy 3-1 Zhang

Zhang Anda was as good as I have seen him yesterday. It's not quite happening and it's the same for Shaun but he won't be bothered by that.
It hasn't hit the heights of both performances yesterday.
Murphy 3-1 Zhang
Shaun Murphy finds himself with a healthy lead at the interval. Zhang Anda will be kicking himself. He should be all square.
Selby 2-1 Hawkins
Vintage Mark Selby, who wins the third frame with a fluent 115 break.
Murphy 2-1 Zhang
Shaun Murphy needs three snookers by the time the players get to the green. And after knocking in the green and brown he carries on with the blue in play.
Surely he's playing himself out of touch here? Zhang Anda finally gets over the line when he rolls in a long blue.
