France best team in the tournament by a country mile.
Home nations really need to step up from here . Inconsistent Scotland took ages against Wales to get going and Ireland finally got their swagger back against a poor England.
Paul, Brecon
It is utterly joyous to watch this France side. Their kicking from hand, their offloading ability, and the way they break the line. It’s mesmerising.
No one stops them in the northern hemisphere.
Italy move it fast and flat from a lineout with Louis Lynagh breaking the lines and centre Tommaso Menoncello close to going in on the left. Great attacking and strong defence from France, before they win the ball back somehow...
Somebody gets a 'first and last' warning from the referee as Italy nine Alessandro Fusco finds touch with a belting kick. The men in red are holding their own in large portions of the field as they get a penalty near halfway.
France have numbers wide and they have the ball, TRY time...
The ball is flicked to new wing Gael Drean, he looks like scoring but is wrapped up by a monster tackle. They work the ball inside though and lock Emmanuel Meafou drives over from close in.
Italy pound away at the French line but knock on. They wil be pleased with this start, the try came from nothing basically but that's what France can do.
France survive the scrum well and get the ball on the move. They go through hands so quickly with Dupont conducting the orchestra but Italy fight well to win it back.

“If you are not mentally prepared to face Italy you will be in trouble.”
Wise words indeed. Let’s port this across to the ENG v IRE HYS as a mantra that SB and the guys should carefully consider taking onboard.

Louis Bielle-Biarrey (con Ramos)
AGAIN!
They make it look so easy. France win the aerial ball, Antoine Dupont gets the ball in his hands and puts a perfect kick in behind the Italy defence and Louis Bielle-Biarrey streaks away to score for an eighth Six Nations game in a row. Unstoppable.
'Allez Les Bleus!' rings out from raucous Lille stands as France get their hands on the ball for the first time. Italy turn it over though. Competing hard.
