France 19-8 Italy
Paul Grayson Former England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 Live
This is relentless. The physical side of these French forwards, they all carry with skill, footwork and heart. Maximum respect for Italy with their defence.
France must have had five or six charges at the line there but they somehow fail to score, as Fabien Brau-Boirie spills the ball metres from the tryline. It was shelled at him by Antoine Dupont.
This is the most troubled we have seen France so far. They remain in control but the next try feels massive. Now Les Bleus finally have the ball in a good position. We know what this normally means...

If Italy's set piece hadn't failed, France would be seriously under pressure but unfortunately the wounds that Italy are healing from are all self inflicted.
Antoine Dupont pops up on the blindside for France as the ball breaks their way but Italy swamp up and have the ball back. Some very tired legs out there as both sides make changes.
Referee Andrew Brace steps up to speak to both front rows after another scrum goes down. We have a Mexican wave, that's how stilted the action is at the moment.

Italy and France appear to have an important understanding with rugby: if you have the ball, keep the ball, you'll score. Also makes their club rugby (Benetton) great fun
Italy contest the ball well in the air and get another decision their way, the home fans are not happy with that call. IF they can score a try next we will have a game on our hands...
The casual rugby watchers among us may take heart from the fact that none of the players understood a referee's decision there either. Italy get a decision and kick deep into France territory.
