I thought in the second half they made England look pretty mediocre.
What frustrates me about Scotland is they can give you a performance like this, but they can also give you a performance like they did in Italy.

England's captain Maro Itoje speaking to BBC 5 Live: "It was a tough day at the office, we didn't get firing in the way we wanted to but that is the nature of the beast.
"We have to learn our lesson and move forward. We didn't start well, we were not as accurate and precise as we wanted to do be, in the scrum especially, all of those areas need to be better.
"I think over the last 12 months we have been good at riding the wave and finding a way but today, we were not good at that. We will learn from it."

You can’t help but feel England hugely underestimated Scotland today. Today has been a textbook example of ‘By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail’
Jack
Can’t fault Scotland today. But they have not had a tough afternoon. England have made far too many unforced mistakes.
England look nailed on to score after a clever kick-pass from George Ford finds Freddie Steward in space, but Darcy Graham comes out of nowhere to tackle the England full-back into touch - superb defence from the wee man.
Meanwhile, Jamie Dobie is taken off with his arm in a sling.
Darcy Graham, introduced moments ago, dances his way past a few England defenders, but he's isolated and England eventually wrap him up to win a penalty.

I can’t remember a worse England performance. We’ve heard so much about an English rugby renaissance - that nonsense has been put to bed.

How can anyone watch this and seriously think George Ford and Fin Smith are England’s best fly halves?
Gary, London
I’m honestly struggling to believe how bad England have been today. Scotland have been excellent, so clinical every time England have made an error but England have gifted them the chances with awful decision making.
