Jack Crowley got absolutely hammered there but thankfully he bounced up quickly and his gumshield has not yet indicated an HIA.

    Ireland 12-10 Wales

Jack Crowley takes a bit of a heavy hit and Karl Dickson stops play, but there doesn't look to be any foul play so we'll get back under way with an Irish scrum.

Ireland are predictable in attack, they need something a bit different.

Ireland have the ball just inside the Welsh half and are trusting the forwards to try and chip forward.

They haven't made a lot of ground so far.

Ireland really are a shadow of their former selves: They can’t fight the reality of losing generational players (& replacing them with mediocre ones), and the inevitable ageing of the rest. The trajectory of the last few years is undeniable (with the England game a clear outlier)

    Martin, Cardiff

54 years a fan and I’ve never seen a prop score a wingers’ try! Happy Days!

    Marc, Powys

Wales are doing me proud! I fear the tackle count will hurt them though, sadly still predict Ireland to get a big lead in the final 20 mins

Wales are in a similar position to what they were against Scotland.

They need to learn from that, and keep it going for the full 80.

But we know what Ireland can do, they can score tries and counter on the mistakes Wales can make.

    Ireland 12-10 Wales

The opening 40 minutes weren't overly pretty, Carre try aside, but it was intriguing.

What will the second half have in store?

That man has don't it so many times for Cardiff, I can't believe the Irish haven't picked him up expecting it. It's one of the reasons he was bought into the squad.

    Dani, Cardiff

Absolutely ridiculous decision to kick possession away with 1min on the clock. You've just scored to open a gap. Such a basic tactic of keeping possession and getting to half time with momentum on your side. Really poor decision.

    Thom, Northern Ireland

I'm Irish and even I was cheering that Wales try. Go on big fella!

Do we need the back three when we have Carre on the ball?

You can question his fitness in the past, but you can put them to bed now.

He does it for Saracens week in, week out.

You can see Baloucoune face, he was bricking it!

Wales have been incredible, when they finally got into the game, they've been brilliant.

We can talk about Rhys Carre, but they need to build on this and start strong in the second half.

Not give Ireland too much control because we know what they can do.

This Welsh team have been poor for so long, but the improvement against Scotland was there. They are playing well against the Irish. They just need some luck i guess.

There's something absolutely magnificent about watching a front row roaming in open space. I can't really put in words how impressive that try was*.
