Converted try: Castres 14-7 Bathpublished at 14 mins

    Nathanael Hulleu (con: Fernandez)

It really is all go here!

Winger Nathanael Hulleu goes over untouched in the corner and Castres have a second try inside the opening quarter of an hour.

Former Harlequins prop and two-time England cap Will Collier makes the hard yards for his new side Castres before the ball is spun wide to the winger and with Bath a man down it's a walk in for Hulleu.

  2. try

Try EDINBURGH 5-8 Gloucesterpublished at 18 mins

    Ben Vellacott

Ben Vellacott has been Edinburgh's standout performer in the opening 18 minutes - perhaps keen to impress against his former club.

He darts down the short side, plays a clever one-two with James Lang and does well to evade a defender to finish it off.

Ross Thompson's conversion is off target.

  3. Sin-bin: Beno Obano (Bath)published at 12 mins

    Castres 7-7 Bath

Straight from the restart there is a breakdown and Bath prop Beno Obano is deemed to have performed an illegal clearout - a croc roll as it's sometimes called.

The referee checks it with the TMO before issuing the yellow card and Bath will be down to 14 for the next ten minutes.

Alfie Barbeary then has to temporarily exit to allow Francois van Wyk to come on in the front row so we can have a scrum.

    It's all go here!

  4. Penalty Edinburgh 0-8 GLOUCESTERpublished at 20:18 GMT 9 January

    George Barton

    Straight through the middle.

A dream start for Gloucester; Edinburgh - as they so often do - have started poorly.

Edinburgh 12 James Lang is pinged for a high tackle and Gloucester full-back George Barton will kick at goal.

  6. converted try

Converted try: Castres 7-7 Bathpublished at 11 mins

    Cam Redpath (con: Russell)

Great response from Bath as they immediately go on the offensive after falling behind and after a few phases it's Cam Redpath who barges his way over.

Finn Russell levels things up again.

    Edinburgh 0-5 Gloucester

Duhan van der Merwe crashes over in the corner for Edinburgh, but home celebrations are cut short by a forward pass from young flanker Freddy Douglas in the build-up.

  8. converted try

Converted try: Castres 7-0 Bathpublished at 6 mins

    Teddy Durand-Pradere (con: Fernandez)

    Castres hit the front!

Bath are offside and the hosts kick to the corner.

From then it's a classic catch and drive from a five-metre line-out and hooker Teddy Durand-Pradere goes over.

Jeremy Fernandez adds the extras from the tee.

  9. Postpublished at 20:10 GMT 9 January

    Edinburgh 0-5 Gloucester

A bit brighter from Edinburgh, who benefit from a rock-solid scrum to gain forward momentum.

However, Darcy Graham is chopped down by visiting captain Seb Atkinson and Gloucester get over the ball to win a penalty.

Scotland winger Duhan van der Merwe returns from a hip injury for Edinburgh in a big boost for the hosts.

James Whitcombe makes his second start of the season at loosehead prop, while back-row Liam McConnell is reinstated after coming off the bench in the URC win at Benetton last time out.

Wes Goosen reverts to full-back to accommodate Van der Merwe, with Darcy Graham lining up on the opposite flank.

Callum Hunter-Hill continues in the second row in the absence of the injured Grant Gilchrist.

Scotland internationals Ewan Ashman and Ben Muncaster bolster the bench after a complete HIA protocol and a knee injury, respectively.

Academy lock Euan McVie is also among the replacements, hoping to make his professional debut.

  11. Team news - Austin continues at scrum-half amid multiple Gloucester changespublished at 20:07 GMT 9 January

    Edinburgh 0-5 Gloucester

A fast start but just to quickly run you through the team news in this one...

Gloucester head coach George Skivington has made a raft of changes to the side beaten by Newcastle Red Bulls last Friday, their eighth defeat in nine Prem matches this season.

Nepo Laulala comes into the front row, Matias Alemanno joins Freddie Thomas in the second row, while the back row of Deian Gwynne, Lewis Ludlow and Jack Clement remains.

In the backs, Tomos Williams is still out with a leg injury so Mikey Austin starts again at scrum-half.

Charlie Atkinson shifts from full-back to fly-half, Will Butler is back from injury in the centres, and there are starts for George Barton and Josh Hathaway in the back three.

Arthur Clark and Ollie Thorley are both suspended, while there could be Champions Cup debuts off the bench for George Knowles and Rhys Price.

    Josh Hathaway

An electric start for the visitors!

Gloucester go wide, Seb Atkinson bursts through a couple of weak Edinburgh tackles and releases Josh Hathaway, who pins his ears back to go over in the corner.

George Barton's conversion drifts just wide of the uprights.

Just a little info on the format of this year's competition before we start.

The top four sides after four matches in each pool will go through to the last 16 knockout stage in April.

There is a big incentive to finish in the top two though as that means home advantage in the next round - with the teams finishing third and fourth facing away ties.

The fifth-placed teams will go into the Challenge Cup knockout rounds while the bottom side in each pool is out of all European competition.

Which side of Edinburgh's split personality will be on show tonight? How many times have we asked that question?

Will it be the team of thunderous intensity that put Toulon to the sword to kick off this Champions Cup campaign?

Or will it be the side that offered next to nothing in their festive double-header against Glasgow?

Duhan van der Merwe is back in and how Edinburgh, and indeed Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend, would love him to rediscover some form in what has been an underwhelming season so far for the big winger.
