The visible breath of the players hints at the chilly weather conditions in the Scottish capital - there's been a dusting of snow today and temperatures have consistently been below freezing this week.

    Awfy pretty though.

    And breathe.

Bath take a four-point lead into the changing rooms after a highly- entertaining first half.

That's despite seeing two players yellow-carded by the way.

If the second half lives up to the first then we're in for a treat!

    Jeremy Fernandez

Castres win the penalty but can't really go for the line-out with their hooker in the sin-bin so point to the posts.

In classic French rugby fashion Castres have a place-kicking scrum-half and Jeremy Fernandez, who has been excellent from the tee tonight, again slots it to reduce the gap to four.

    Tom Dunn (con: Russell)

    Good call!

The line-out catch and drive is textbook and Tom Dunn does what good hookers do by piling over at the back of the maul.

And even better news for Bath - Castres' hooker Teddy Durand-Pradere is shown a yellow card.

What a shift in momentum we've seen here before the break.

Can Bath hold Castres out as the French side now head back on the offensive?

    Ted Hill (con: Russell)

    Had to be!

The pressure was building and building on the Castres line and after a great drive from Alfie Barbeary it's Ted Hill who goes over.

The grounding was checked by the TMO but it only needs one replay to show that the former Worcester man dotted it down no problem.

Finn Russell waits until the shot clock is on about two seconds before he slots the conversion - and Will Muir is back on so all-in-all a brilliant couple of minutes for the visitors.

    Edinburgh 5-11 Gloucester

    This is odd.

After just half-an-hour, Edinburgh change their entire front row. James Whitcombe, Harri Morris and Ollie Blyth-Lafferty make way for Pierre Schoeman, Ewan Ashman and Paul Hill.

Ashman's first act is to have a lineout throw pinched by Lewis Ludlam.

    Edinburgh 5-8 Gloucester

Gloucester hooker Will Crane - a mortgage advisor by day - is on loan from Hartpury and is struggling a wee bit at the lineout.

Edinburgh pinch possession, but can't maintain their own attack. It's nothing if not scrappy in the Scottish capital.

  18. Sin-bin: Will Muir (Bath)published at 21 mins

    Castres 14-7 Bath

Back come Bath again and have a penalty advantage.

Ben Spencer's cross-field kick is then contested by winger Will Muir and Castres full-back Theo Chabouni.

The Castres man wins the contest and Muir then pulls him to the ground while they are both still up in the air.

It looked an ugly landing and Muir is shown a yellow card - Bath's second tonight already.

    Edinburgh 5-8 Gloucester

Edinburgh almost get away down the right flank, but the ball won't quite sit for Darcy Graham.

Frustrated at his failure to gather a pass from James Lang that would have set him free, Darcy Graham has just taken his frustration out on an advertising hoarding.

Good strike to be fair. He's left a great big hole in it.
