Here's more from Sione Tuipulotu in his post-match press conference: "I'm proud of how we stepped up in the second half and we clawed it back to 26-21. I think Ireland were deserved winners today. Any time we got it back within one score they hit back again. It was hard for us to put scoreboard pressure.
"I'm proud of how we responded, but Ireland were deserved winners and credit to them.
On missing out on the Triple Crown: "Tonight I'll let my emotions brew a little bit. I've seen what has gone on behind the scenes after Italy. It's not an easy thing to do and I'm proud of the boys with how they rallied in this championship. My goal was to lift the Triple Crown on that field today but there's been progression. I don't feel like it's the end for this group. I'm proud of our championship."
Great tournament from Ireland as they finish strong despite a slow start and show new depth in positions. Looking ahead it’s been perfect as Farrell has given lots of young guys opportunities.
Tim, Cork
Not a bad showing. Lost touch at certain moments in game but attack was good. Great Irish defence. Very good 6 nations for Scotland. Just imagine if we had managed to beat Italy??

Ireland turned up today, with a dogged need to win, plain to see on their bloodied faces. Scotland played great at times, but they suffered for their missing locks, and just didn’t quite bring it overall. Still proud of this Scottish team, still love watching them play!
'The score line flatters us massively' - O'Brienpublished at 16:54 GMT 14 March

Tommy O'Brien, who scored two tries in the win, speaking to ITV: "It's pretty special you still hear the atmosphere in the full Aviva, it's the stuff of dreams.
"That score line flatters us massively, it was a tough game going into the final 20 minutes, it was nervy so delighted to get on the end of the last two and put the game away.
"Triple Crowns aren't easy so we definitely don't take it lightly. We'll be watching the game [France v England], I won't be singing Sweet Chariot but definitely rooting for England!"
Tadhg B's performance and critical turnovers were huge.. Jamison GP was so clever.. mixed up box kicks with touch clearances.. super match tho.. some of the short passes handling from the forwards on both sides was unreal.. don't they know there not meant to do that!... One of the best 6Ns I can remember.
PJ, London
A great game, fiercely contested and well refereed by Luke Pearce.
Mike, West Sussex
Brilliant game, fantastic intensity. Ireland there for the taking!? Nice one Darce.

Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend tells BBC Scotland: "Hugely disappointed. We knew we had an opportunity to play a high level of rugby and we didn't do it enough.
"I know a huge effort went in. In such a physical match, that's great to see, but we needed to be more accurate.
"We were a bit passive in attack at times and we didn't get our spacing right in defence.
"They are a very good side and they have a good record against most teams in the world.
"Some elements of today were a really high level. We'll work out how we need to play better in other parts of the game.
"This is one of the toughest places to play in world rugby and their attack was excellent today."
Scotland does not have a good enough bench that can come on and change the game, when Townsend made the changes against France last week they gave away lots of points and today was no different
Sineddy, Hawick
That was a very frustrating and familiar story. Ireland rarely make mistakes and we do. DUMB penalties, result they win. 12 times. We just don't seem to be able to help ourselves. We didn't do that with England or France. DUMB penalties killed us today. Still a 6N for the ages. We'll be talking about this one in 20 years time!

Farrell made Toonie look tactically naive. No plan B.
No idea. Same old same old.
In the final play of the Ireland game against Italy in the second week, Jack Crowley missed touch and sent the ball dead as Andy Farrell's side chased a bonus point from a penalty.
He had been outstanding in that game (and largely for the remainder of the tournament) but that could be crucial.
Remember when Ireland played Italy & had what looked like a golden chance right at end to get bonus Pt try but instead settled for 4 Pt win - how costly could that move be - would’ve meant France needed bonus pt win for title, now a 4 Pt win will do
Mark, Chester
Never thought I’d see the Irish cheering for the English to beat France at the start of the tournament having just been battered by them in Paris but here we are!
Jacob, Brighton
Already the negativity starts. No argument we conceded some soft tries today. But team fought hard 2nd half and that has not always been the case. Let's give them some credit for a change. Let's also remember that Ireland are a top team
'The bench was immense' - Farrellpublished at 16:39 GMT 14 March

FT: Ireland 43-21 Scotland
Ireland head coach Andy Farrell speaking on ITV: "The performance is one thing, it's the manner of it of the personnel that did it. There is a lot of firsts for us this time round, first caps and people playing in the Six Nations for the first time and playing in Super Saturday when it counts for the first time and all those things are going to stand for us in the long run."
On Stu McCloskey being nominated for player of the tournament: "He has to be doesn't he? The Irish fridge! He's immense. It's huge for Stu, he has bided his time all these years and what he has done is immense, the quality of performance he has done, I don't know when Stu last played five on the bounce for us and performed like that. It's magnificent what he's done."
On the impact of all the squad: "I thought the bench was immense. Nick Timoney came on and was unbelievable and the experienced guys have passed on what it means to be an international player and the rest are benefitting from it."
On their title hopes: C'mon England and all of that, but, listen we are proud of how we have performed when we've had to and that's five trophies in five years for us. I know it's a Triple Crown but it's hard to win over the years for Ireland and we're proud of that."
There's a very cute scene on the pitch as some of the Ireland squad's kids are chasing the 'spider cam' that moves on a wire over the top of the playing surface.
Disappointed, but let’s be honest, Scotland have had a fantastic campaign and showed some mettle against massive teams.
Johnny, Edinburgh
Too many mistakes today, and not enough calls going our way against Ireland yet again, they do like living on the edge and why not if the referee allows it. Hopefully we kick on from this next year, with three home games, including Ireland, it might finally be time to put that Irish record to bed in front of our own fans.
Niall, Glasgow
A fantastic rugby fixture, full of intensity and accuracy, sadly things that England at this moment lack.
Scotland captain Sione Tuipulotu tells BBC Scotland: "I'm gutted. We really set our sights on coming here and getting a result, but Ireland were too good today.
"[Collisions] are where it was won and lost. I'm proud of the way we stuck in it, but we can't make the errors we did.
"I think we've made progression, but we want to be where these guys are with a trophy.
"We were physically prepared, it's on us as players."
Robert Baloucoune, who has been named the Six Nations' rising star: "It's probably something I didn't think would happen. At 28 I think I'm a bit old to be getting named a rising star. You have to put your best foot forward and take your opportunity."
Short and sweet from the Ulster wing, who has cemented his place on Ireland's wing after a brilliant tournament.
