    Luke Cowan-Dickie (Con: Ford)

Gus Warr's effort was not given, but within seconds Sale had kicked to touch by the flag again. As with before the break, they rumbled infield and Luke Cowan-Dickie plunged over.

George Ford lands the conversion, and Sale go 21 points ahead.

Gus Warr goes low and looks to be short of the Quins try line, the referee says no try but they are checking.

    Harlequins 5-19 Sale

Quins have been much improved since the resumption, and this feels like much more of a contest now.

But Sale have hit back and are camping out deep in the Quins 22. Luke Cowan-Dickie wants to take a quick tap, but a kick to the corner gives Sale a chance from a lineout five metres out.

    That had been coming!

The ball is spun to the left, it goes through multiple hands until Nick David gives Chandler Cunningham-South just enough room for him to charge over the line and crash down by the flag.

    Harlequins are on the scoreboard.

Jack Kenningham gives the Quins fans something to cheer, getting over the ball and winning a penalty that is kicked downfield to give the hosts a lineout on halfway.

Rodrigo Isgro follows it with a neat chip kick that earns another lineout, edging Quins down the pitch further, before Marcus Smith hoofs a penalty into the wind to make some ground on the left hand flank.

Given the low turnout I expected a quiet Quins crowd. However, I don’t know if it’s late kick-off, patchy Quins performance or the questionable refereeing but this crowd is fired up.

Nick David's try-that-wasn't followed on quickly from an interception that almost saw Quins go over in the opposite corner.

They'll have to take those threats from late in the first half into the second if they are to claw their way back.

Never seen this much animosity towards the ref at a Quins game. He’s been dire. Quins line out awful as per. Can’t string phases together either.

    Harlequins 0-16 Sale

There is barely enough time to restart, and the referee blows for the break.

There are quite a few boos from Quins fans, but if they had had that try given against them, they'd be just as unhappy.

    Harlequins 0-16 Sale

After a review that took too long - after the conversion - the try is chalked off!

Nick David's elbow landed out of play just before he touched down and Sale's 16-point lead is restored.

    Nick David (Con: Smith)

Quins full-back Nick David is in at the corner, but it looks tight. It has been given on the field, and Marcus Smith lands a tough conversion from out wide.

It is worth remembering that Sale have been playing into the wind, and they are now a good chunk ahead with a man advantage for the rest of the half.

And they'll have the breeze after the break.

That numerical advantage pays off straight away, Sale's hooker scoring off a maul off the back of the lineout by barging through a couple of tackles.

    Clean, simple, classic.

Quins are down to 14, as Will Evans goes down off his feet to irk the referee and receive a yellow card.

George Ford could go for goal, but kicks for the corner instead.

  19. Penalty - Harlequins 0-9 Salepublished at 30 mins

    George Ford

Quins infringe right in front of their posts, 15 metres out and George Ford lands the kick with no alarms this time.

It's a bit more old-school than the try-fests of earlier so far. One for the purists.

    Harlequins 0-6 Sale

A sight I love to see - a second row charging down the wing!

Sale's Ernst van Rhyn rampages down the right hand side but Bryn Bradley does superbly to tackle him into touch.
