    HT: France 22-0 Ireland

With an Ireland hat on, I genuinely can't think of a single positive from the opening 40 minutes. And I don't think I'm being overly dramatic, either.

France, on the other hand, have been superb.

A very one sided half! France haven’t let Ireland have a say…

    Nicholas, London

Perhaps Ireland were told about a rule change that you can’t tackle any more

Is this Ireland or Wales in green jerseys?

It's so easy again as France whip it through the hands.

Bielle-Biarrey has it on the wing and kicks forward, and only an extended hand from Jamie Osborne puts it into touch.

That was a stunning France try. The finish from the second row is beautiful but that's a wonderful team try to cut Ireland apart.

The ball for Ireland is easily turned over and the French thrive on a turnover.

Tommy O'Brien sticks a crossfield kick straight into touch and that just about sums up Ireland's 35 minutes so far.

So good from France! You knew from 30 meters out they were going to finish it.

Converted Try - France 22-0 Irelandpublished at 33 mins

    Charles Ollivon (con Ramos)

    Ireland are being ripped apart.

Jalibert just can't collect his own chip, but it comes back on the French side.

They move it through the hands, and Charles Ollivon was never going to be stopped from 10 metres out and in open space.

    Ramos converts.

France, on the other hand, are firing it about for fun and look dangerous no matter who has the ball.

Joe McCarhty makes a meal of a pass and that means Jacob Stockdale is swallowed up by Attissogbe.

Ireland just can't get any go forward ball.

The best chance Ireland have of a comeback is if Karl Dickson pulls a hammy and gets replaced.

    Matt, Liverpool

France deserve their lead, but on that Jalibert try, don't the attacking team have to be 5m from the backfoot of the scrum as well? He was basically in-line when he received it.

    Ryan, Birmingham

France are playing well but they've been allowed two forward passes & they are getting a lot of calls from the ref!

The home fans booing Prendergast there feeling he made a bit of a meal of it. Better from Ireland though going forward.

    Close!

Jamie Osborne grubbers the ball through and Sam Prendergast hacks it forward.

It's a race between Prendergast and Ramos to get to the ball, but Karl Dickson thinks Prendergast was putting a bit too much pressure on Ramos, who had just hacked it straight out of play, and concedes the penalty.

Not sure about that one, but then again I'm not a referee.

    France subsequently clear.

Ireland finally have a bit of territory as Dan Sheehan charges forward.

Ireland need a spark, and they need it sooner rather than later.

A lot of Leinster players in the Ireland side who are used to a blitz defence and are now using a softer defensive line here. Ireland have already missed 16 tackles. A big number.

I think France are being respectful here kicking this, they would have put the blood in the water if they had of kicked to the corner.

I would have kept the pressure on. France's ability to go from slow ball to quick ball is incredible and impossible to defend.
