It's taken a long time to get back into this game.

A long kick by Leggatt-Jones and the dynamic was there.

It was tight but they came together and they were able to turn for Dan Davis to go over.

    Order is restored!

Scarlets are gifted a penalty as Gonzalo Garcia, already warned for his behaviour tonight, gets himself involved in off-the ball-nonsense.

He's made to look silly for it as Carwyn Leggatt-Jones sets up the line-out and from the drive that follows, replacement Dan Davis touches down.

It's been a disjointed second period but that might re-instill some spark.

    Scarlets 24-0 Zebre

Zebre coach David Sisi speaking on S4C - "We're massively disappointed with how the first half went, it wasn't out game plan to executed that.

"Credit to Scarlets, they've outplayed us and continued that in this half.

"Massively disappointed to get into the 22 and not get any points.

"We need discipline and not giving away more penalties. It's not allowing us to get the strikes we want."

Zebre have been a different team this second half.

Macleod was exceptional in holding that ball up.

We all thought that was a certain try for Zebre, the momentum is all with them.

    Scarlets 24-0 Zebre

Twice the Zebre pack drives over the line only to be held-up - the second time courtesy of brilliant work by Josh Macleod.

Scarlets survive as Mr. Davies turns to his bench, with Marnus van der Merwe and Gabe Hawley now on to freshen up the front row.

That means no more Archer Holz tonight. Spoilsport.

Scarlets need to be careful, there has been penalty after penalty.

It's been all Zebre so far and the game is far from finished.

    Scarlets 24-0 Zebre

The hosts haven't going in the second-half yet, in fact it's the away side who have been on the front foot.

Nigel Davies will know his side have a real chance to build some momentum here, he won't want this to peter out into a tame win.

As I speak, Zebre have a penalty and Giacomo Da Re kicks them within 10 metres.

Fair play Zebre have started this half a lot better, they've got across the gain line with a strong carry.

    Scarlets 24-0 Zebre

David Odiase, who came on as a second-half replacement at the Principality Stadium last weekend, has been introduced at half-time by Zebre and the Italy flanker is immediately in the action with a powerful carry.

But a rare attacking chance goes to waste for the visitors when they are penalised at the breakdown.

That was better from the visitors though.

Scarlets haven't been able to play what's in front of them this season.

They've been known to switch off at the vital moments, but tonight they've been playing well and hopefully that continues.

So Giacomo Da Re has the ball in his hands and promptly hoists his restart high to get us back underway.

Scarlets have the platform to put on a show here now. Either that, or we're about to witness a URC comeback for the ages.

Regardless of the final result tonight, or where the Scarlets finish this season, it remains unclear if the interim role of Nigel Davies will become a permanent one this summer.

The 60-year-old has been tasked with overseeing rugby operations, reporting directly to the board with overall responsibility for performance, results and selection.

But despite hinting this week that he was actively involved in player and staff recruitment plans, he also insisted no decisions have been made on his role for 2026/2027.

"My absolute focus is on getting the side firing this season, but also making sure we're in a far better place moving forward," he said.

The lead up to the first try, Scarlets clearly did their homework.

Really good scrum, Taylor going straight to the gain line and the workload was brilliant.

Fair play the finish was brilliant.

That's about as comfortable a half I've seen at Parc y Scarlets for a long time.

Scarlets have been clinical, but Zebre have barely fired a shot.

Well it has all gone to plan for Scarlets so far in this one.

We have been asking you to get involved this evening, here is what the Cardiff fans had to say about their defeat to Bulls tonight.

Cardiff have made progress over the last 2-3 seasons, but we've still got a soft underbelly, away. When the going gets tough we retreat, freeze and lose.

    Howard, Cardiff

Problem with the URC is that playing a game in SA after weeks of Six Nations is certain to result in a heavy defeat. The inclusion of SA teams is unnecessary and results in a warped competition.

Changing the direction of play has worked so well for Scarlets all night.

Zebre have no men on the outside and Mee just slots in the gap to go in the corner.

It was easy in the end, Scarlets have put the work in and the only team has played with momentum tonight.

If Scarlets wanted a comfortable first 40 minutes back in action after the Six Nations break, they've just had it.

The execution in attack has been precise and half-backs Archie Hughes and Carwyn Leggat-Jones are revelling in the space afforded to them.

Zebre, on the contrary, have barely laid a glove.

They've looked to go back down the short side like they did with the first try.

I wasn't sure the space would be there, but they kept going and Zebre folded to give that space on the edge for Mee to go over.

Leggatt-Jones very unselfish to not go over for his own.

    Mee

    The bonus point is secured!

Scarlets attack until Zebre simply run out of defenders, and Carwyn Leggat-Jones goes blind before throwing out the scoring pass to Ellis Mee.

Unmarked from close range, the winger strolls in for the easiest score he'll have this season.

The conversion goes wide - but I'm not sure those two points are going to prove pivotal at this rate.

    Scarlets 19-0 Zebre

The scrum goes down and it's followed by good old fashioned handbags.

Referee Peter Martin tells both skippers to cut out the nonsense and when the game restarts, it is that man Holz again who wins a scrum penalty.

Opposite number Paolo Buonfiglio was being driven half-way back to Swansea before the whistle went.
