    Argentina 3-19 England

We're under way in the second half. Will we see an improvement from Argentina or will England remain in cruise control as at the back end of the first half?

This first half is the same as the football with Argentina employing some dubious tactics and trying to bait England players into reacting. Let us hope the second half doesn't go the same way.

    Paul Phillips, Paris

Only one talking point and that's the failure to award a red card. Freeman was not on the way down and the Argentinian has lined him up, no arms, straight to the head.

A bonus point win would see England move into third place in the Northern Hemisphere table, ahead of Ireland on points difference, and just two points behind table-toppers France.

Feyi-Waboso and Ellis Genge are having seriously good games so far. Some big hits from England too. This performance feels personal. Revenge best served immediately.

    Ed, Cascais

I agree, Ed. Very impressed with Feyi-Waboso - he was making breaks in the opening five minutes and caused Argentina issues with his pace and jinking runs throughout the first half.

Credit to the ref. This is a powder keg just waiting to explode. England props fantastic and where has this version of JVP been in other England games.

    Matthew Large, Darlington

I think the Argentinian players are still hungover from the football result. Shambolic!

England's defence has been so well drilled and they have been clinical.

The thousands of miles they have travelled to play in a hostile environment to starve Argentina of anything, it has been a fantastic performance by England.

England are making Argentina look really average. Argentina are in a daze. England have their number.

Well, it's been as feisty as expected in Santiago del Estero with a bit of afters following two of three England's scores.

Tommy Freeman got things started for England in the third minute and Ben Earl has crossed over twice.

Argentina's only points of the half came via a Tomas Albornoz penalty - he's been their standout player.

The hosts failed to capitalise on a run of England penalties immediately after going behind and since then, they've looked completely clueless in attack.

  8. Half-time - Argentina 3-19 Englandpublished at 40 mins

Not to be this time for England. Immanuel Feyi-Waboso loses the ball forward. The hooter sounds.

If you're an England player you don't want this half to end.

Argentina have not got a clue what is going on.

Cute from Jamie George, flicking the ball one-handed off the ground as he jogs back on from delivering the line-out.

England have advantage because Guido Petti jumped across the line-out.

Jack van Poortvliet's little jaunt comes to nought so England kick to the corner. Bonus point before half-time, anyone?

It's a long time since I've seen a top-10 international side play at home and have such little understanding of how they should be playing.

Players are static, running in the wrong direction, not looking for offloads. At one point there were three scrum-halves going to get the ball from a breakdown.

    It's an absolute shambles.

Argentina enjoy a spell of possession but you could throw a blanket over all of their players on the left wing.

Tomas Albornoz goes for a speculative drop goal. It's actually a reasonable effort but doesn't quite have the distance or elevation.

Mateo Carreras has returned, so Argentina are back to full strength.

Argentina were well and truly splintered in at the scrum, there were blue shirts everywhere. It was like going back to school. It's embarrassing. And that is where the fighting came from - pure embarrassment.

Got the early lead against Argentina. Please don't make defensive replacements and sit back. That would be silly 🤪

    Andy Frayling, Devon

    Very good, Andy.

I don't know what Argentina are playing at. They are way off it in rugby terms but every break in play they want to start pushing and fighting. They should concentrate on playing rugby - it might help them.

  16. converted try

Converted try - Argentina 3-19 Englandpublished at 33 mins

    Ben Earl (con Fin Smith)

Easy peasy for England. Scrum on the five-metre line, big shove, and Ben Earl drops over for his second.

More pushing and shoving as Ellis Genge celebrates with gusto.

    Fin Smith converts.

Argentina need to find a bit of composure.

    Argentina 3-12 England

Good grief, Tomas Albornoz is having to do everything for Argentina at the moment!

Fin Smith punts over the top and the bouncing ball is not dealt with before Albornoz eventually gets two big hands onto it. He's shoved behind his try line.

    England smell another try.

I am not surprised Argentina went for the three. How are they going to score any points otherwise the way they are playing?

No mistake from Tomas Albornoz. Argentina are on the board.
