I think Sam Eseh there was so concerned with the player, he forgot where the ball was!

There's three men to tackle him and no-one knows where the ball was. There's three men just watching.

TRY: Wakefield 12-0 Wiganpublished at 13 mins

    Ky Rodwell, goal Max Jowitt

    Wow.

Jake Trueman gets towards the line as Wakefield threaten again but it's kept alive and fed to Ky Rodwell who shows great strength to dink the ball on the line.

But given the sheer amount of Wigan players attempting to hold him up, how on earth has he been able to get that through?

Max Jowitt makes no mistake with the boot and suddenly Trinity have a two-score lead.

    Wakefield 6-0 Wigan

The ball springs out in the tackle and Wigan then win another set of six 15 metres from the line.

Jack Farrimond pokes a kick in to goal but the onrushing Zach Eckersley can't quite get onto it before it bounces dead.

    Wakefield 6-0 Wigan

Well now. What do Wigan have in response to Wakefield's impressive start?

They've lost their past two games coming into today's tie, remember.

And their most recent game was a bruising derby defeat by St Helens, too.

    What an inside ball.

Wow, what a play from Wakefield.

No-one's going to stop Trueman from there.

TRY: Wakefield 6-0 Wiganpublished at 6 mins

    Jake Trueman, goal Max Jowitt

    Brilliant try.

Wakefield take the lead and it's deserved. Great play from Mike McMeeken to beat Wigan to the punch and feed Jake Trueman to score.

Trueman, it must be said, linked up so, so well with McMeeken. That harmonious bit of running from him was the hard part. Finishing it off was easy in comparison.

Max Jowitt slots his kick through for the extra two.

    Wakefield 0-0 Wigan

Both sides exchange sets in the early stages but Wigan's turn with the ball properly pens Wakefield deep in their own 10.

The hosts are forced to kick soon after and Jai Field picks up the ball virtually on halfway.

Wigan are driving the possession early on.

Well it's the first time I've been in here in a long, long time.

As you can hear from our predictions, no-one knows who is going to win today!

    Wakefield v Wigan

Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet told BBC One before kick-off:

"It was a tough weekend last weekend. It was disappointing to lose [to rivals St Helens] in the way that we did, and this has felt like a long week but we have had to build.

"People do remember the finals, but its games like today that define you, with your backs against the walls and when people are probably doubting you.

"The last two games were very different. Against Huddersfield we were poor from start to finish, and against St Helens we were just taught a lesson on our right edge."

    Wakefield v Wigan

Wakefield Trinity boss Daryl Powell told BBC One before kick-off:

"The club last won the Challenge Cup in the 1960s but for the players nowadays it's what they can do to the club to add to the history.

"We always talk about putting some colour into [footage of] the trophy lifts in this place because a lot of them are in black and white. We always try to play with colour and if we can do that then it will be a special time for the club.

"Wigan have been rattled a little bit [in the past two games], and they're going to come out with all guns blazing, so we've got to match that right at the start of the game."

Wakefield star Tom Johnstone previews Sunday's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Wigan.

Wakefield Trinity winger Tom Johnstone has said the experience of being "manhandled" in England's Ashes defeat by Australia in November led to him changing his physicality.

The 30-year-old was part of Shaun Wane's squad that was swept aside 3-0 by the tourists and Johnstone said he has since put on some extra weight.

He will be part of the Wakefield side who host Wigan Warriors in Sunday's Challenge Cup quarter-final, live on BBC One at 13:00 BST.

"I feel good, I had a big off-season. I wasn't quite firing where I wanted to be in the Ashes," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

    Saturday recap: Warrington 24-10 Leigh

Warrington Wolves player Matty Ashton, who scored twice in their win against Leigh Leopards last week, celebrates with try-scorer Toby KingImage source, PA Media

Warrington Wolves stayed on course for a third consecutive Challenge Cup final by coming from behind to beat Leigh Leopards in a fiercely contested quarter-final.

The Leopards were set on avenging last week's 42-6 thrashing in Super League and tries from Innes Senior and Lachlan Lam, and an Adam Cook penalty, twice edged them in front.

Danny Walker's try had levelled for Wire, and then Toby King's score, converted by the influential Marc Sneyd, moved Warrington in front for the first time.

With Sneyd pulling all the strings, Warrington struck twice through Ben Currie to secure their place in the last four.
