    Wakefield 22-22 Wigan

After all that, Wakefield win a penalty after Wigan's Brad O'Neill is penalised for pushing Jay Pitts.

No cards and play continues. Fair enough. Let's get on with it.

    Wakefield 22-22 Wigan

This tie is on a knife edge.

There's plenty of afters - AGAIN - shortly after play restarts. This time after a huge hit as Wigan try to get going through Ollie Partington.

Honesty, I'd struggle to sum everything up in the aftermath as there's tussles everywhere..

  3. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Wakefield 22-22 Wigan

Jazz Tevaga's making a nuisance of himself again. He has a coming together with Wigan's Sam Eseh who pushes at him in frustration.

Both sides have some afters and a scrum's given in the aftermath of Tevaga's error which ended up being overshadowed by what followed.

    Play continues.

Great football. Offload, offload, and then it's Cam Scott.

Step, step, step, step! Underneath the sticks.

    Cam Scott, goal Max Jowitt

    It's given!

Max Jowitt loses the ball in the tackle from Liam Marshall, but he doesn't knock on as he sends it backwards into the path of Cam Scott.

Scott then duly spots a gap and exploits it, running in for a potentially huge Wakefield try. Not great defence from Wigan, mind.

Jowitt then punts the kick through right in front of the posts and we are all square again.

    Wakefield 16-22 Wigan

Wakefield win a penalty a kick themselves into a promising position up-field.

Given they're back up to full strength, can they make their field position count and claw down that deficit?

Another high shot and it's Tevaga again.

    There's no need. What a momentum-killer!

Wakefield try to divert a big kick to the corner to Tom Johnstone but Wigan try-scorer Zach Eckersley puts in the catch to deny him.

Then shortly after the restart, Jazz Tevaga and Liam Marshall have another coming together moments after the former returns to the field.

This time Tevaga puts in a high arm on Marshall in the tackle but play's waved on.

  12. try

TRY: Wakefield 16-22 Wiganpublished at 14:11 BST 12 April

    Zach Eckersley

Liam Marshall and Liam Farrell link up as Wigan go on the attack early on.

They then work it over to the right wing and Zach Eckersley gets on the end of Harry Smith's kick and races through with ease.

The perfect start to the half for the visitors.

Adam Keighran gets his kicking boots on and diverts his conversion wide of the mark.

  19. Half-timepublished at 13:52 BST 12 April

    Wakefield 16-18 Wigan

    What a first half.

The first 40 minutes comes to an end but as entertainment goes, that was quite something.

Wigan started poorly but have wrestled their way into the lead on the break.

How important will Jazz Tevaga's sin bin prove to be for Wakefield?

  20. try

TRY: Wakefield 16-18 Wiganpublished at 40 mins

    Jai Field, goal Adam Keighran

    It's given!

Wigan work it to the centre and Harry Smith puts the kick through the posts, which Wakefield make a meal of dealing with.

Kian McDermott races for it but he can't get to it before it bounces favourably towards Jai Field who quickly picks it up and grounds.

What a time for Wigan to make their advantage count! Adam Keighran adds the two and the visitors are ahead!
