There's a minute's silence on the grid as the two minute board is shown at the front of the gird in memory of Kamil Holan.

The Czech Republic flag is flying at half mast in his honour, as are those racing today.

    He's in everyone's thoughts.

  13. McWilliams has Cooper in his sightspublished at 10:05 BST 9 May

Jeremy McWilliams is the second most successful rider in Supertwins history with three wins.

Were he to win both races in that class today on his Flitwick Racing Yamaha R7 he would join Richard Cooper on five victories in that category.

The way he was performing in practice few would be surprised were the Glengormley rider to stand on the top step of the podium again,

McWilliams won't have Cooper among his opposition today as the Nottingham rider has now opted to sit out the Twins events this year after initially being entered on a Suzuki.

The Supertwins are off on their sighting lap, and it's the last chance for the riders to get their gearing how they want it for the race.

If you get it wrong, the bikes will loose top speed on the straights, and if you go the other way way you will leave too much speed on the table.

    So it's a tricky balance.

  15. 'It's the same for everyone'published at 09:59 BST 9 May

    Supertwins/Sportbike race (four laps)

Jeremy McWIlliams, who starts from third: "You just want to be somewhere on the front. We've two races today so we've two chances. You want to get your gearing right with the wind, on the run to University in particular. It's the same for everyone.

"It would be awesome, I'd love to get one win and more so two. It might work out, might get a break. You just never know, but a win is the target."

    Supertwins/Sportbike race (four laps)

Peter Hickman, who starts on pole position: "The wind is a lot stronger than it has been all week. Who knows, it's a guess. I think we're in the right direction but we'll find out on the warm-up lap. We'll have to wait and see.

"We have a bike that works really well through the corners. From Metropole to the finish line it is mega, and that's where I've won my races in the past."

  17. Postpublished at 09:53 BST 9 May

    Supertwins/Sportbike race (four laps)

Alastair Seeley, who starts from fourth on the grid: "I never thought I would reach 29 wins. It's one of those I do feel proud about and if we can add to it then it would be even nicer."

How the wind will impact racing: "The little bikes, very much so. I'm a little in the dark with gearing and I'll make a call after the sighting lap. Hopefully it's the right one."
