Page v Patterson
"He's hittable" is the message from Page's corner.
"Time to turn it up", say Patterson's team.
Scoring the opening two rounds is tough but I've got it at 1-1.

Patterson closes the distance and wraps his arms around Page's torso. Page is backed on to the cage but keeps his composure and manages to escape back to the centre of the octagon.
Patterson seems happy to play a really cautious game here.
They end the round back on the cage in the same position with Patterson looking for a takedown but failing to have any success.
This fight is there for the taking in round three. If either of them want it, that is.

Having this style is very risky, because as you can hear, the crowd don't like it.

These are the loudest boos of the night so far from fans inside the O2 Arena.
They've been treated to some emphatic finishes tonight and they want to see more action.
It's a bit of a chess match so far.

I am surprised that Sam Patterson hasn't tried to go for MVP's leg yet.
Page v Patterson
No surprise that the message from Page's corner between rounds was "pick up the pace" and he's listened.
Page comes out with more aggression and finds Patterson's chin with a straight right.

This has just been a dancing contest so far.
I get it because MVP is always trying to set something up but someone has to commit at some point.
Page v Patterson
There's almost an ironic cheer from the crowd as Page comes forward and throws a flurry of punches - none of them appear to land cleanly.
Page attempts a spinning high kick but Patterson gets out of danger.
I had much higher hopes for this fight.

Not too much has happened so far.
Page v Patterson
Patterson spots an opening and times his entry perfectly as he steps into range and connects with a right. Patterson flicks out a calf kick as he retreats.
Page, with his hands low, is yet to even threaten an attack and the crowd aren't happy with the inactivity from both fighters and they make their voices heard by booing.

MVP seems to be more aggressive than usual - he often lets the opponents come to him.
Patterson is moving constantly, he is not allowing MVP an opportunity to explode.

Page stalks Patterson in the opening couple of minutes but neither fighter can land anything meaningful.

Page is one of the most dynamic and dangerous fighters in the UFC. Of course he is walking out to Michael Jackson, because he is a showman.
This is a long time coming; MVP in this arena.

Page v Patterson
Right, next up it's our first and only all-British contest of the night with Michael 'Venom' Page facing Sam Patterson at welterweight.
London's Page is soaking up every ounce of the atmosphere as he struts his way to the cage to the sound of Michael Jackson's 'They Don't Care About Us'. A couple of trademark Michael Jackson dance moves and Page is finally in the cage.
Patterson has been waiting about five minutes for his opponent.
Who have you got in this one? Hit the thumbs up for Page or thumbs down for Patterson.
Image source, Getty ImagesThis does feel a little bit like a changing of the guard moment for British MMA or certainly a chance for some fresh faces to put themselves in the spotlight.
Tonight marks the first time since 2019 that any of Tom Aspinall, Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann or Leon Edwards have not be on the bill on a London card.
All of them seized their chances in the capital over several events to establish themselves in the UFC, feature on numbered events and even - in the case of Aspinall and Edwards - became world champions.
Will we be saying the same about the likes of Shanelle Dyer, Luke Riley, Kurtis Campbell, Mason Jones and Christian Leroy Duncan in the next few years?
Page v Patterson

The Londoner earned a reputation for creating viral moments during his time with Bellator and continues to exhibit a flashy fighting style in the UFC.
Page, who takes on fellow Englishman Sam Patterson shortly, knows that delivering a winning performance is not enough to open the door to big opportunities and that being marketable is just as important.
"It's always to do with financial benefit," Page tells BBC Sport.
"If [the UFC] realise this person is going to bring more eyes, more bums to seats, more money to the company, they're going to favour you so it's important to be able to market yourself.
"It's always been important but more now. If we go back many years, it was slightly easier because your success would speak for itself.
"Social media wasn't here to distract everyone, we were all watching the same guys on the same TV, so it was easier to be well known."
