British men’s number one Dan Evans won’t be playing today. His match against Spain’s Feliciano Lopez is one of a number cancelled for the day.

Largely the final matches of the day on the court, they also include fellow Brit Harriet Dart's match against Belgian 13th seed Elise Mertens, plus those featuring five-time champion Venus Williams, and Czech eighth seed Karolina Pliskova.

  2. Tiafoe saves break pointpublished at 15:20 BST 28 June 2021

    Tsitsipas 2-3 Tiafoe*

Frances Tiafoe saves a break point at 30-40 as he looks to protect his early advantage, and his third ace of the contest seals another hold for the American for 3-1.

There are signs that Stefanos Tsitsipas is waking up now after a slow start, and he holds to love as Tiafoe belts a forehand wide.

    Djokovic 4-6 6-1 6-2 1-1 Draper*

Draper takes the first game of the fourth set, but the serving power, pace and accuracy of Djokovic is just unstoppable in the next. Once again, a hold to love. It's all a learning experience for Jack Draper and this is the toughest of schools.

    Djokovic 4-6 6-1 6-2 Draper

That's 18 aces from Novak Djokovic now and that's a winning percentage of 89% on his first serve. Frightening numbers.

    On to set four.

Metronomic. Just a demonstration of accuracy from Novak Djokovic.

  6. Game and third set - Djokovicpublished at 15:13 BST 28 June 2021

    Djokovic 4-6 6-1 6-2 Draper

Draper will never have faced serving like this. He is just rooted to the spot as ace after ace is coming down from the other end.

Unless there is the biggest of turnarounds, we're going to have to look elsewhere for a first-day upset.

  7. Double break for Djokovicpublished at 15:11 BST 28 June 2021

    *Djokovic 4-6 6-1 5-2 Draper

A low, crouching two-handed backhand from Draper hits the tape and stays on his side and that brings up another Djokovic break point.

Djokovic sends in a lob in the next point and that has Draper on the run and he can then only net.

Djokovic, now serving for the third set, has turned on the afterburners and Draper is unable to live with him at the moment. But what a brilliant display so far from the world number 253. He's made a huge statement today and made the tennis world sit up and take notice.

    Tsitsipas 1-2 Tiafoe*

It's been an excellent start for Frances Tiafoe against third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The American seals a comfortable hold of serve with an ace to consolidate his early advantage.

But Tsitsipas is able to compose himself and gets on the board to settle those early nerves. He has a game of catch-up to play now, though...

    Djokovic 4-6 6-1 4-2 Draper*

It has to be so demoralising when you just can't get near your opponent's serves. That's 14 aces from Djokovic now and another blink-and-you'll-miss-it hold to love.

Indeed he is, Boris. But it's not looking like being enough at the moment.

The biggest challenge in sport is to play the defending champion on opening day.

How Draper keeps his composure - the whole county is watching now.

    He's doing marvellous.

    Tsitsipas 0-1 Tiafoe*

Well then. An early set-back for world number four Stefanos Tsitsipas.

He manages to win just one point in his opening service game as Frances Tiafoe claims an early break to move ahead on Court One.

    *Djokovic 4-6 6-1 3-2 Draper

Yet another slip from Draper. It's amazing neither man has tweaked something so far. But that does not stop the 19-year-old and he can hold his serve.

But that's not been the problem, disrupting the Djokovic serve is what he needs to do and unless he can do that soon, he's going to be two sets to one down.

Two fantastic contrasting examples of emotional behaviour there.

Jack Draper laments himself for swiping air before lumping long, while Novak Djokovic demonstratively wheels in the direction of his box and pumps his arms.

Seemed to me that Djokovic wanted to try and keep a relative lid on his celebrations, perhaps because he doesn’t want to antagonise the home fans. Not much noise from world number one today.

Draper just can't make any mark on the Djokovic serve and a consolidation of that break comes very, very quickly.

    Tsitsipas* 0-0 Tiafoe

We're up and running again on Court One, where Stefanos Tsitsipas will look to put his French Open heartbreak behind him against Frances Tiafoe.

Tiafoe made it to the quarter-finals at Queen's. Can he spring an upset here?

    Tsitsipas gets things under way.

  18. Djokovic breakspublished at 14:59 BST 28 June 2021

    *Djokovic 4-6 6-1 2-1 Draper

It was fun while it lasted. An incredible point goes Djokovic's way and he has a break in the third.

He was completely on the defensive as he flicked a return and had to spin around to do so, then was way beyond the baseline and spooned a shot high, high into the air but Draper completely misjudged an attempted smash.

The Brit raced back and got a forehand on to it but it's long and Djokovic lets out a scream and a fist pump.

For the first time since the opening game of the match, Djokovic leads.

  19. Tactics for playing Djokovicpublished at 14:59 BST 28 June 2021

    Boris Becker
Three-time Wimbledon champion on BBC TV

You don't want to get into too many long rallies with Djokovic - many players have tried... and many players have failed!

Draper needs to take his chances but it's risky - can be too many errors.

    Djokovic 4-6 6-1 1-1 Draper*

How great it is to have loads of fans at Wimbledon with it being at 50% full today and hopefully a full house for the finals.

And every point Draper wins is being appreciated and cheered by the masses. He needs every bit of support as a brutal baseline rally ends with the Brit sending a backhand halfway up the net to give Djokovic break point.
