There will be two singles rubbers followed by a doubles match, unless on side wins the opening two ties and builds an unassailable lead...
However, Nadal is a likely replacement for Lopez in the doubles if required.

Over breakfast in our Madrid hotel, the BBC Sport team was discussing whether Andy Murray would be recalled. It's a tough shout.
Miles Maclagan, the former GB Davis Cup player and Andy Murray's old coach, said he wouldn't fancy being in Leon Smith's shoes having to make that call.
"It must be tough again to leave Murray out, having said that what victories for Kyle and Dan yesterday," he said.
"They did it in different fashions but both will be buzzing today.
"Evans has had three tough matches, might the fatigue start to take its toll? It is going to be a tough task to take on Nadal."

Image source, ReutersIt was pure delight for Dan Evans after he dug deep to send Great Britain into the semi-finals of the inaugural Davis Cup finals in Madrid with a thrilling win over Germany.
The British number one, who had lost his previous two matches, beat Jan-Lennard Struff 7-6 (8-6) 3-6 7-6 (7-2) to give GB an unassailable 2-0 lead yesterday.
That, and Kyle Edmund's win over Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets, secured GB a spot in the last four as Andy Murray once again sat out.
"The last two days I came up short and the other guys got it done," said Evans. "But it's not about me - it is about everyone."

Image source, ReutersGerard Pique, man behind the Davis Cup grand plan, was in action as Barcelona fought back to beat Leganes earlier, and was asked if he has been distracted by the tennis this week.
"It is that they are 40-minute trips. It is going to Tarragona and returning by car. Does that get tired? I think not. We give a lot of hype so that I am present," he said.
"I try to make things as simple as possible. There are media outlets that, if you accuse them of being a member of the club, criticize you one day. And then another day you give an interview to this one and the others kill you.
"This is a circus, is not serious, but it is what it is. I want you to respect me. Some people may think that what I do is not the best. I know what affects me and what doesn't. I know that the day that Barca loses they will give me stick but I have reached a point in my life when I am insensitive and although there is a lot of noise I try to do my best and that's it."

Image source, BBC SportAndy Murray became the Willy Wonka of the tennis world with his initial Instagram post last night - and here is the tennis equivalent of a ticket to the Chocolate Factory.
Lewis Clark, originally from London but a Madrileño for the past 25 years, bagged his ticket after a tip-off from his mate Sam in their Madrid Cricket Club WhatsApp group.
"I couldn't believe it when I got the email confirming I'd got them!" Lewis says.

Zaylina: This could come down to the doubles. As good as Dan is, I honestly can’t see him beating Rafa. But Kyle has a good chance against PCB. However, even though as a Brit it pains me to say it, I believe Spain will win the day.
T: Would've gone for Edmund vs Rafa. Playing style better suits beating Nadal than Evans.
Tom Gumbleton: It's gonna be tough. Kyle to win his, Nadal to level, then anyone's game in the Doubles header. Will be incredibly tough though.
David Smith: As much as I love Dan, I think Rafa will win that match, so the pressure’s on Kyle today. Argentina showed last night that Spain are vulnerable in the doubles. Kyle needs to get us there to have a chance.

LTA staff were working throughout the night to distribute free tickets to British fans after what chief executive Scott Lloyd described as "overwhelming".
The British governing body managed to secure an extra 975 tickets or so, at a cost of about £60,000 to them, meaning there will be over 1,000 fans among a partisan 12,500 crowd in the Spanish capital.
"We've had thousands of messages and email of people wanting to come here and support. They have come in from far and wide," he told BBC Sport.
"We have been trying to plan for all sorts of eventualities this week so to have the opportunity to procure as many possible tickets as we could to give our team the best possible support we could was fantastic.
"We wanted to get the most we could. The players are looking forward to the tie and you could see through the messages they have been posting that they are feeling great about the response of the fans."

Image source, BBC SportLast night Kenny Brown and Andy Dyet - who, as you can tell, are from Scotland - didn't have tickets for tonight's tie. And then they walked into an Irish bar in central Madrid...
"Last night after the fantastic quarter-final we decided to go to an Irish bar, as you do in Madrid, and we were watching the Spain-Argentina tie, chatting to a group of other Brits," Kenny says.
"Turned out one of them was Dan Evans's dad!
"Later on he said 'boys, have you got tickets?' We said no but will try to get some. Dan's dad kindly organised for us to collect two today which we have done.
"We were here yesterday for the Germany tie and if we'd not these tickets we'd have probably gone to watch Real Madrid play tonight. But this was the main aim.
"We were there when Britain won it in 2015, it is an amazing atmosphere at the Davis Cup."
Ps. Kenny wasn't happy that I made a reference to Wembley 66 and Munich 2001 during the Germany tie yesterday. So apologies to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland...

Image source, InstagramThe Lawn Tennis Association has given away 900 tickets to Great Britain fans to cheer on the team at Saturday's Davis Cup semi-final with hosts Spain.
After Andy Murray pledged to "sort out as many tickets as possible", the LTA said fans could email the governing body to get up to four free tickets for the match, in Madrid.
British tennis' governing body originally said it had bought 500 tickets for fans.
In a Twitter message, GB doubles player Jamie Murray said: "All the tickets available have been taken...it's an incredible effort by you guys and we're looking forward to seeing you."

Kyle Edmund might not have made the cut with the transport bosses but, most importantly, he has with Leon Smith.
One stop further down - at Madrid's focal point Sol - has been given a splash of Spanish colour.
Unfortunately for the hosts they will be without Roberto Bautista Agut, whose name you can see on the right.

The big news... Andy Murray will not play for Great Britain in the semi-final.
Captain Leon Smith is sticking with the team which beat Germany in Friday's quarter-final, with Kyle Edmund and British number one Dan Evans playing the singles matches.
Murray, 32, was not picked against Germany after being rested for Thursday's group win over Kazakhstan which booked their last-eight spot.
Smith said before the Germany tie that whether to recall Murray would be one of his "more difficult decisions".
The Scot won his singles match in the group opener against the Netherlands but had looked sluggish as he laboured to a three-set victory over Dutch world number 179 Tallon Griekspoor on Wednesday.
Murray admitted afterwards he was still "a couple of kilos" heavier than he would have liked after gaining weight while taking time off with his newborn son and family.

Can Leon Smith's side, the 2015 champions, book a place in the final in the new-look competition by dumping out the hosts?
Let's find out...
