    Federer 4-6 1-0 Nishikori*

Federer, now 37, doesn't want to do too much running so he makes Nishikori do his running instead.

    0-30.

    Make that 0-40.

    Three more break points.

That was only the second set Federer has dropped at this tournament since the first set of his first match against Lloyd Harris.

You can blame rustiness for that, but what can you blame for this?

    Federer 4-5 Nishikori*

Great hitting from Nishikori - he doesn't let his opponent get on top of him in the first rally and forces the error.

He then hits Fed with a serve-and-volley winner.

    30-0.

What a battle it was on Court One.

But it's 23rd seed Roberto Bautista Agut who, at the age of 31, sets up the biggest match of his career.

Game, set and match - Bautista Agutpublished at 16:19 BST 10 July 2019

    Pella 5-7 4-6 6-3 3-6 Bautista Agut

He was the only player in the men's singles draw yet to drop a set.

Roberto Bautista Agut may have lost that record, but he has just bettered his best-ever Grand Slam result to set up a Wimbledon semi-final against world number one Novak Djokovic.

Delivering forehand winner after forehand winner, Bautista Agut eventually overpowered Guido Pella in a deserved victory against a resilient opponent.

Pella defeated some big grass court names on his way to the quarter-finals, but after 16 hours of tennis - three of which were contested today - he perhaps didn't have enough left in the tank to match a relentless Bautista Agut.
