"Take it, make it," says Nick Kyrgios after burying a return into the net to allow Rafael Nadal to 40-15.

A little bit of self-coaching? Or a mis-remembered rendition of Rihanna's Rude Boy?

Whatever it was it didn't work. He clumps another return into the net and the game is the Spaniard's.

Juvan should play who's on the other side, the player today. Not the player from last year. The player who is on the other side of the court at this moment. Right now, Serena isn't quite at her highest level.

Rafael Nadal is almost respecting Nick Kyrgios' serve too much.

With Nadal parked deep behind the baseline, Kyrgios is making hay with the drop-shot.

    *S Williams 2-6 6-2 5-4 Juvan

Serena Williams decides to take one out of the sky on the full and only sends it into the top of the net. That's a hold for Juvan but Williams, for the second time, is now serving for the match.

  7. Kyrgios holdspublished at 18:22 BST 4 July 2019

    Kyrgios 3-6 6-3 3-3 *Nadal

Nick Kyrgios is 15-0 and a baseline rally breaks out.

A Nadal forehand is called out on the baseline and Kyrgios immediately tells him to challenge. "It's close," he says.

And he is right. The ball was in. Replay the point. Give him an MBE for services to sportsmanship.

Kyrgios to 40-0. He attempts a needless tweener half-volley in the front court. Netted for 40-15.

An easy backhand volley on the next point. Wide for 40-30.

Nerves now. But the Australian slaps away the forehand for a winner to close out,

Serena Williams sends one into the net and Juvan gets a break back to make sure the match extends for one more game. Williams still holds another break though and still only needs one game for the win.

Break point for Juvan. We didn't see this coming. It's a must-win point for the teenager.

Kyrgios really is the Happy Gilmore of tennis. Shouting, arguing, fighting, no etiquette... but that power.

If Kyrgios channeled as much energy into his game instead of his mouth I'm sure he'd have won a slam by now

Kyrgios needs to grow up and play a proper game.....he's an amazing talent and could be a crowd favourite ..... But chooses differently ..... Marmite ?!?

Rafael Nadal knocks off a service game to 15. His concentration does not seem to have wavered either.

We are tiptoeing towards the business end of the crucial third set. Who can land the telling punch?

You would think all the self-inflicted hullaballoo must distract him.

But Nick Kyrgios delivers an impeccable service hold to love. It is like the tennis is an incidental part to the real business of a full-on ding-dong with umpire Dumusois.

This is perfectly understandable for Juvan, who hasn't been in this position before. More inexperienced players don't have the tools to battle back against someone with Serena's character.

Williams, who lost the first set 6-2, is serving for the match.

Jose Mourinho said the other day that Rafael Nadal could be a decent footballer - and the Spaniard shows it while he waits for another row between Kyrgios and Dumusois to subside with some ball juggling.

Nadal - whose uncle Miguel Angel was a bone-crunching defender for Barcelona and Spain - practises a few keep ups with the ball at the baseline, knocking it up north and adding in a few headers too. Tekkers.

    Entertainment level? Sky high.

    Nick Kyrgios tanks the game.

I think, playing amateur psychologist, that it is in protest at the umpire's call in the first point.

A Rafael Nadal second serve is called out and then good by Hawkeye. The umpire says it is an ace. Kyrgios says, pretty reasonably, that the out call distracted him mid stroke.

Kyrgios calls the umpire "a disgrace" at the changeover. He is treading a tightrope.

Not a lot of calls are going to go his way with a charm offensive like that.
