    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

It's all going down to the black...

Ali Carter cuts the blue into the bottom left corner and knocks in the blue but has no position on the black.

What a finale to this frame.

    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

How has he missed that? Stuart Bingham cuts the ball towards the left middle but watches as it rolls against the knuckle.

Does anyone want to win this frame?

There's a little smile from Ali there. He's hitting this hoping for the best. What's he had? Not the best.

Hello Stuart Bingham has laid a snooker on the blue.

    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

Knife-edge stuff on the brown until Stuart Bingham flukes it into the middle. But he can't knock a difficult blue into the top left bin.

That was frame ball and it's been left.

Nothing doing for Ali Carter though into the same pocket...

    You could cut the tension.

    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

    This frame feels massive now.

Ali Carter gets to 12 behind but then runs out of luck on the brown which lands near the middle bag but in an unpalatable position for Stuart Bingham.

He won't be able to feather this one in. Looks like there was an apology from Carter there.

    John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two

Stuart Bingham has given himself a whole load of aggravation here. You see it all the time, a player thinks he has got over the line and his concentration just drops.

    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

    Stuart Bingham is having one...

Ali Carter goes 37 behind with 35 left and then lays a trap that Bingham can't get out of.

That's four points and a free ball. With no real advantage from potting anything Carter puts Bingham back into trouble and collects another four points and free ball.

    What a turnaround.

    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

Stuart Bingham moves 69 points ahead with 67 left on the table. But he then misses a middle range red. Can Ali Carter rack up some points and lay a snooker.

This really would be a smash and grab.

I think the white went on a diet to get through there. It's unbelievable how he got that gap.

    Frame 6: Bingham 2-3 Carter

Back on the baize Stuart Bingham looks to be getting back into his groove after being handed a reprieve in this frame. He's up to 52.

Could really do with getting making this a sizeable frame-winning break nut he's got a pretty tough rest shot coming up.

The frame way well hinge on this.

Now there was a little bit of commotion when play resumed earlier... can you believe the reason why?

You could not make it up.

It was a very unorthodox shot from Stuart, he came down the wrong side of the blue.

You set yourself a stall of trying to win mini sessions in the match so you can go to the evening session with a couple of frames as an advantage but I sense that this could be a very close final.

Crikey Stuart Bingham almost goes in off the break off shot. Are a few cracks in his game starting to show?

I bumped into Ali Carter at the mid-session interval and asked him how he was and he said, "he is absolutely loving it, If you can't get up for days for this you should not be playing snooker."

Ali Carter is going along nicely here, he's got a 50 plus point lead and the fifth frame at his mercy.

Changeover in the comms at the mid session interval as well...John Parrott and Dennis Taylor now doing there thing as John Virgo and Ken Doherty grab a well-deserved brew.

    Frame 5: Bingham 2-2 Carter

First mistake of the fifth frame sees Stuart Bingham hit the knuckles of the left middle with an attempted pot.

Now how many points can Ali Carter make from here? Just the one before he misses a black off it's spot. In snooker terms an absolute sitter.

It matters not though, Bingham again misses with an attempt to the middle bag, and almost says 'over to you Ali' as he sits down.
