If you put money on Stuart Bingham and Ali Carter being in the Masters final, you'd be a very rich person by now.

The big names have dropped which means the world number 14 Bingham and wildcard Carter are in today's showpiece.

Bingham is looking for his second Triple Crown event triumph after a shock win at the 2015 World Championship, but Carter's run is quite remarkable.

Only in the tournament after seven-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan decided not to enter, he would become the first player outside the elite top 16 to lift the trophy and it would cap an unimaginable turnaround having twice recovered from cancer and being diagnosed with Crohn's disease.

Admit it, who would have thought we'd have a title decider between Stuart 'Ball-Run' Bingham and Ali 'The Captain' Carter at the start of the week.
