  1. 'It feels so good to be back'

    Tim Wilde speaking after his win: "I think I needed more of a warm-up in the changing room. I was slow at the start of the fight but I have been through a lot with Covid and surgery on multiple ligament tears. It feels so good to be back.

    "I know I hit hard but it is just landing it and with an awkward guy like that it is difficult so you have to be fully switched on at all times."

    He knows it as he has his hand in the air before his win is confirmed.

    Into the third and final round of tonight's first fight on the main card with Tim Wilde having had the better of the first two rounds.

    Michael Page has got to make sure he doesn't overcommit like he did in the last fight against Lima that left him on the floor.

    He was dominating that last fight and Lima was waiting for his moment. If Page can fight a cautious fight but a spectacular fight like he always does, it is his to lose.

  6. 'I expect the same result'

    While revenge is on Michael Page's mind, Douglas Lima is simply out to prove that win in 2019 was no one-off.

    "I see the same fighter as last time and I expect the same result," he says.

    "I do not agree [Page] was winning the [first] fight. The only thing he did was that one punch. I landed on him and was on top of him for the first round.

    "I guess it is good for his mental health to convince himself he was winning, but I know how it was going, and I was winning. The same will happen Friday night."

    You cannot blame Douglas Lima for not wanting to fight Michael Page. He is a unique fighter, you cannot go to the gym and find someone who can mimic what he does. So when you have beat him once why would you want to fight him again?

  10. 'If I lose, I have to get you back'

    After losing to Douglas Lima two years ago, Michael Page went on to win five consecutive fights, most recently scoring a TKO victory via doctor’s stoppage against Derek Anderson.

    However, no doubt that single loss of his pro career has been on his mind throughout all those fights and this will be the one he will really want to win.

    "My personality has always been quite petty," Page said. "If someone gets me with a takedown, I must get you back. If it's a submission, I have to get you back.

    "And, in this case a loss, then I have to get you back. I am looking forward to getting this loss back and showing how much I have improved since our last fight."

  14. MVP eyeing revenge

    Bellator MMA: Douglas Lima beats Britain's MVP in 2019

    Michael Page has had a long time to wait for a chance of redemption - just over two years in fact.

    The Brit suffered the only defeat of his pro career in May 2019 when he was stopped in the second round of Bellator 221 by Douglas Lima.

    Now, Page's opportunity to avenge that loss is finally here as the two face off in Bellator 267 in London tonight.
