Bogey for Rosepublished at 23:18 BST 11 April 2021
23:18 BST 11 April 2021Rose -5, Leishman -5 (15)
Justin Rose drops to play his fourth after finding the pond on the 15th. But the best he can do is get down in three.
He's got five marks blemishing his scorecard today, he really needed to be bogey free.

23:17 BST 11 April 2021Matsuyama -13, Schauffele -9 (14)
Schauffele, who must be surprised by the potential opportunity which could arise, knocks his second into the bunker on the right of the green.
Think we all know which position we'd rather be in...

23:16 BST 11 April 2021Matsuyama -13, Schauffele -9 (14)
Oh no! Seems Hideki Matsuyama did have too much time to think...
The leader aggressively goes for the flag and ends up way over the narrow green, skipping off the downslope and into the water behind it.
Now then...
Bogeys for MacIntyre & Finaupublished at 23:14 BST 11 April 2021
23:14 BST 11 April 2021MacIntyre -1, Finau -2 (17)
Should anyone want to know about the pace of the greens ask Tony Finau.
The American sends a birdie attempt from one side of the green to the other before coming back and finally carding a bogey.
Same result for Robert MacIntyre, who finds himself in the pine needles off the tee.

Matsuyama starts the 15th well with a lovely drive onto the fairway. Now the final pairing must wait for Rose and Leishman - the two in front - to crack on before they go. Plenty of time to think things through...

Xander Schauffele will probably be hoping Hideki Matsuyama makes an error on the famously-reachable par five 15.
But the Japanese player's stats here this week make grim reading for the American. Par-birdie-eagle.
Any of those will do very nicely indeed for Matsuyama.

23:10 BST 11 April 2021Rose -6, Leishman -5 (15)
A very reachable par five but not with shots like that.
Justin Rose goes bold at 15 but clips a tree branch after drifting right.
His ball ricocheted out but instead of plopping into the sand, it runs alongside the edge of the bunker before trickling down the slope into the drink.

'I needed a record-breaking round'published at 23:05 BST 11 April 2021
23:05 BST 11 April 2021Rahm -6 (F)
Jon Rahm speaking to Sky Sports: “I was hitting great shots and playing difficult holes and playing them with birdie chances. After the first three or four holes I got a lot of confidence and kept attacking.
“Even though it is a great round on a Sunday with how things are going I can’t help but think about a few I left out there but it would have had to have been a record-breaking round. That’s not the easiest thing to do here with the wind.
“The last few times my strategy and the way I play the golf course has improved. The biggest thing was the first two years I hit a lot of balls in the water and that number has gone down significantly.”
Matsuyama pars, birdie for Schauffelepublished at 23:04 BST 11 April 2021
23:04 BST 11 April 2021Matsuyama -13, Schauffele -9 (14)
No holding back from Matsuyama, who crashes his birdie putt up the hill. It doesn't hit the cup but stops in time for a little nudge in.
Schauffele could knock this in one-handed if he wished. Of course, he wouldn't dream of it. A third birdie in a row for the American, who is still keeping the pressure on his playing partner.
That double bogey on the fifth looks even more costly now...

Back to the leaders... they're on the par-three 14th. Stunning stuff yet again from both men. Matsuyama is about eight feet away from the pin, but he is still putting first. Schauffele sticks his tee shot a foot away.

Jordan Spieth won't be slipping into another Green Jacket today -unless something extraordinary happens.
But the 2015 champion is on course to finish on the top page of the leaderboard after birdies on 13 and 14. A par on 15 follows.
On the 16th tee, he gives himself a good talking to. "Oh no Jordan! I haven't hit it there in nine years," he complains.
He's still on the green. Just 42 feet away with a heck of a birdie putt down the hill to follow.

On another day that would have dropped.
Justin Rose comes off the 14th after scribbling a par on to his scorecard. That putt summed up his round, it just straightened up at the last moment to miss to the right.
There've been a few narrow misses.
Birdie for Finaupublished at 22:54 BST 11 April 2021
22:54 BST 11 April 2021MacIntyre -2, Finau -3 (16)
That's excellent from Tony Finau. A laser-like iron shot off the tee sees his ball shuffle to a stop six feet from the pin before he drops in his third birdie in four holes.
He's back level for the day.
Robert MacIntyre looks nailed on for a par but somehow misses from six feet.

Xander Schauffele still has the honour as the final pair step onto the 14th tee. Another clean strike, another fairway found.
Hideki Matsuyama, hoping to avoid another loose one like on the 13th, follows suit and lands on the same line. Wonderful stuff.

22:49 BST 11 April 2021Matsuyama -13, Schauffele -8 (13)
And after all that both men walk off scrawling birdies onto their cards. Golf, eh!
Matsuyama remains five shots clear, with his playing partner now in sole occupation of second place.
Birdie for Rosepublished at 22:48 BST 11 April 2021
22:48 BST 11 April 2021Rose -6, Leishman -5 (13)
Justin Rose has been waiting for that.
He coaxes a chip down towards the pin and then rolls in for birdie after initially running off the back of the 13th green. He's still battling
Marc Leishman also collects his first birdie for nearly three hours, thanks to a deft wedge shot, which homes in on the cup after running back along the slope on the green.
His right to left putt drops right in the middle of the cup.

Little trouble for Matsuyama as it happens. The leader has been chipping beautifully all day and knocks from close to the flowerbeds to within four feet.
A rather unnecessary risk but one you can take when you have a five-shot lead.

Xander Schauffele heaps more pressure on his playing partner by nailing his second shot onto the green. Initially he was going to take an eight iron before reassessing and going a club up. That was the right decision. A 10-foot eagle putt awaits...
