    Jolyon Palmer
Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live

If it is dry for the start of the race and dry for Q2 you have to start the race on the tyre you qualified with in Q2.

If it's dry now and all the drivers set a lap time that's their best on dry tyres, that's what you have to start the race with.

It's nice to see Marcus Ericsson's name at the top of the table (with a 1:08.579), he's off to IndyCar next year. But he'll still be around in the paddock since he's Sauber's reserve driver.

Carlos Sainz is sort of the villain of the session. He's just the wrong side of qualifying for Q2 - five thousandth of a second. Those are the margins.

    It's over for Q1.

Vandoorne is last again. And surprisingly Alonso didn't make it either... so no McLaren's in Q2.

Jeremiah: Senna and Hamilton could be on a class of their own when you consider the greatest drivers. But the fact they came at different eras may make it difficult to declare who is the best. May be parameters to measure greatness need be defined.

Miranda Lane: For greatest F1 driver of all time -- I think they should be split into their own decades. So many factors like differences in Cars, Team-mates, Other Drivers, Rules, Regs, Teams, Time in F1 & each Personality... Senna, Prost, Schumi, Alonso & Hamilton = GOAT'S.
