On the weighbridge incident: "They shouldn't call us in when the conditions are changing like that. To call someone in, I think it isn't fair and I wanted them to hurry up."
Lewis Hamilton, who is on pole position tomorrow, says: "Obviously with the weather going up and down, and the Ferraris are quick this weekend - I'm going with my engineer to get the car in the best shape.
I'm happy to be here in Brazil I've got Senna on my helmet, and I didn't know if I could get pole."
"The first year I came here I was fighting against Felipe (Massa) and I was the enemy here.
We'll see what happens tomorrow, the Ferraris are quick, they had more blistering on the supersoft tyre than we did, we wanted to be on he soft but we'll see if I can do the best with it."

LH: "This tyre was quite imbalanced, big vibrations."

Hamilton is yet to win a race after tying up the championship. Starting this race on pole will give him the best opportunity possible to do that in Brazil tomorrow.
Lewis Hamilton is on pole position for the 82nd time, and it's Mercedes 100th pole position.

Time was so of the essence, Vettel had not done a fast lap. Bring him in when he has done a fast lap.
Q3
If Vettel doesn't improve here, it could be Mercedes' 100th pole position.

If Hamilton blocked Sirotkin on an out-lap I think he will get away with it. If he's not on a fast lap then that is fair game.
Q3
0.073secs separates Hamilton and Vettel right now.
Vettel has won here in Sao Paulo three times, and Hamilton only once.
It could go either way in the next two minutes.

I imagine Hamilton will keep the car the same. He is in the box seat right now.

Lewis Hamilton goes fastest. Hamilton on provisional pole. Advantage Hamilton after the first run in qualifying.
Q3
Bottas was on pole here last year while Sebastian Vettel won here last year.
Ferrari look like they are quicker here in Sao Paulo, but Mercedes have started on pole here for the last four years.
"That's a good balance, let's try and get that again."

Safety is paramount. Vettel has to, as a driver, follow the rules because you don't know what is going on around you.
Hamilton goes quickest with a 1:07.301, which is 0.073secs faster than Vettel in second.

Karen Waddy: Is this Sirotkin incident a sign of Hamilton's mind wandering now he's got the title?
Jack Allum: Will the stewards do anything about Hamilton blocking Kimi and nearly crashing into the Williams? Probably not. Should be a slam dunk grid penalty.
Thomas Knights: Given the track conditions, and the time he needed to gain to make Q3, one of the laps of the season from Leclerc. He didnt even do it by a little bit, comfortably made it.
Q3
Now then, it looks like Hamilton and Vettel could both be in for grid penalties. Hamilton for nearly annihilating Sirotkin, and Vettel for destroying the scales.
Alonso has wished for a crazy race, and it's already turning into one.
