John: Chelsea are lucky they already have 39pts. Can’t see where their next points will come from playing like this.

Paul: Lampard's last 19 games: 1 W 2D 16L. Surely, the worst Premier League manager ever?

This could be very ugly for Chelsea, Arsenal have gone for the jugular.

Kepa is keeping Chelsea in this, they are struggling and haven't had any reasonable chances on the Arsenal goal.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 58 mins

    Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea

A change for Arsenal with Leandro Trossard getting a great reception from the home fans with Gabriel Martinelli, another to have enjoyed a magnificent season, coming on.

    Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea

The chances keep coming for Arsenal. Bukayo Saka, after linking up with Ben White, strikes from a tight angle but Kepa Arrizabalaga sticks out a leg to keep it out.

Arsenal come again and Saka fires from 20 yards, but just wide. Chelsea as open and frail at the back as they were in the first half.

James: This is where Arsenal need to go and absolutely kill the game - I already worry they're relaxing.

Anon: I bet Potter is giggling into his cuppa watching this display.

Stuart: Todd needs to get Poch signed up before he changes his mind!

So close to number four for Arsenal. Leandro Trossard swings in a corner from the left, Gabriel gets his head to it and it's going in but Thiago Silva shows incredible composure, bouncing the ball up with his knee then, underneath his crossbar, hooking the ball away.

Granit Xhaka then has a chance, he goes past Wesley Fofana, but is denied by Kepa Arrizabalaga's low save. From the following corner Jesus, on the stretch, can't keep his volley down.

There are more goals here for Arsenal.

Dave: Hope Arsenal fans aren't getting too excited - Man City have still got to play us yet. Imagine how many they'll score!

Nick: Let's get some perspective here please... Arsenal pushing for their first league title in over 20 years, Chelsea players on the beach already. No need to get carried away peeps!

Gabriel Jesus is chopped down by Cesar Azpilicueta, cynically and crudely close to the byeline.

Somehow referee Robert Jones decides to not show a yellow to Azpilicueta and he gets away with that one.

Opeyemi: With the new wave of sacking managers before facing City, I have my doubts if Lampard can still survive till the sunny Sunday afternoon of May 21st!

Rob: Good luck Poch, you're gonna need it!

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:04 BST 2 May 2023

    Arsenal 3-0 Chelsea

It is a very unhappy return to the Emirates for Chelsea's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

He only touched the ball nine times in the first half and he's been hooked by Frank Lampard. On comes Kai Havertz.

    And we're back under way.

Conor: As a Chelsea fan I am disgusted at these players. This performance isn't down to Lampard's tactical ineptness, it's down to the players' laziness. Poch you would be mad to take this job.

Alison: Perhaps Chelsea could share Sam Allardyce with Leeds for remainder of season!

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough & Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Arsenal have been very good, on the front foot and hustling very well. They've forced errors and capitalised, creating some very good chances.

Chelsea fell asleep on three occasions, the defending was very poor.

Arsenal deserve to be 3-0 up, Chelsea have a lot of work to do. They're a million miles off it.

Neil: Three down in 35 minutes. Do Chelsea think they're Tottenham?

Ian: I’m a Saints fan and I even feel sorry for the Chelsea fans.

Arsenal are heading back to the top of the Premier League as it stands, thanks to two goals from Martin Odegaard along with one from Gabriel Jesus.

The only good news for Chelsea is they can't be as bad in the second half.
