Julian Alvarez has got his goal and he works his abosolute socks off for the team but, at times, his touch and his quality on the ball hasn't been at the standard of Manchester City.

Ha! There's a massive scramble in the box as Bournemouth put a corner in. There's bodies everywhere and about 10 players involved as Dominic Solanke tries to poke it through, eventually blocked by Kalvin Phillips. There's a VAR check for a penalty in the process but it comes to nothing.

Hamed Traore does really well on the left, playing a one-two before flicking it past Rico Lewis. His cross is blocked by Ruben Dias but Lewis has to concede a corner to stop Dominic Solanke a few moments later.

He has played well but this isn't great from Manuel Akanji, who slides in far too late on Dominic Solanke. Another yellow.

I've been so impressed with Manchester City today. The attitude of all the players, the way they've kept the ball and the way they've worked it.

Akanji looks a really top defender, he stays on his feet, he's quick, powerful and strong. Him and Lewis have been really good today.

The away fans are singing "we've got Guardiola" as Nathan Ake heads a corner way over the bar.

Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez play an intricate one-two in the box and it pops up for Nathan Ake on the edge of the box.

He hits it fiercely towards goal but it's held by Neto.

Bournemouth break down the other end, Kalvin Phillips is later booked for a foul in the build-up but Dango Ouattara is eventually stopped by Manuel Akanji.

Here come some changes for Bournemouth.

Adam Smith and Philip Billing are replaced by Ryan Fredericks and Joe Rothwell.

Hamed Traore whips in a dangerous ball from the left and Kalvin Phillips is stretching as he makes an important clearance at the near post.
