Albeit was off-side, Parish made a great save there. He's settled himself into the game well and made some good saves.

  2. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:23 GMT 15 February 2022

    Aberdeen 1-1 St Johnstone

Aberdeen have their tails up and have the ball in the net.

A driven ball into the box finds Christian Ramirez from close range, who actually fails to score and Elliot Parish blocks his effort, and the ball falls to Vicente Besuijen who thinks he's scored his first goal for Aberdeen, but it's ruled out for offside with Ramirez the guilty party.

    Aberdeen 1-1 St Johnstone

It's an interesting central defensive partnership for Aberdeen now, considering Declan Gallagher went off at half-time, Scott Brown has limped off as has Jack Mackenzie, and Ross McCrorie, Andrew Considine and Michael Devlin are all injured.

It looks like it's Lewis Ferguson who is partnering David Bates now, although Jay Emmanuel-Thomas' introduction will give the home side some physical presence if they are defending a set-piece.

    Both sides makes changes.

St Johnstone make a double change. Liam Craig and Tonjy Gallagher are on, Callum Booth and Melker Hallberg are off.

Aberdeen's Matty Kennedy is replaced by Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

I didn't think there was much in the foul initially. Ferguson is reliable from the spot. Whenever he steps up for a penalty, you've no doubt he'll put it away. Aberdeen have a little break, now they need to kick on from here.

    Lewis Ferguson

Lewis Ferguson has never missed a penalty for Aberdeen, and his run continues. He sends Elliot Parish the wrong way and puts the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.

  7. PENALTYpublished at 21:15 GMT 15 February 2022

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

Just as St Johnstone were looking comfortable Calvin Ramsay is bundled over and the referee gives Aberdeen a penalty.

The first challenge is outside the box. Ramsay gets back up straight away and a sliding challenge, this time inside the box, knocks him over again.

Did Callum Booth win the ball first though?

Vicente Besuijen, who has been busy for Aberdeen since coming on, earns Aberdeen a corner.

But again Aberdeen can't create a clear-cut opportunity.

You can just sense the fans are a bit unsettled around the stadium now because of how Aberdeen are getting on. The referee is getting a bit of it from the fans, too.

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

Aberdeen have an injury knock of their own, with captain Scott Brown down and walking gingerly.

He walks off. At first Dylan McGeouch looked to be coming on but interim boss Barry Robson appears to have changed his mind with Funso Ojo set to replace him instead.

However, he's taking so long to get ready the game has restarted with Aberdeen temporarily down to 10 men.

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

It's another injury to the St Johnstone side, with goalscorer Callum Hendry hobbling off holding his hamstring.

And former Don Stevie May, who scored the winner between these two at Pittodrie earlier in the season, is on to replace him.

  13. Postpublished at 21:04 GMT 15 February 2022

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

Aberdeen are furious as Vicente Besuijen appears to be shoved over but the referee plays on and St Johnstone have the ball in Aberdeen's box, but Glenn Middleton can't get the ball from out under his feet and the Dons do clear.

From Barry Robson's perspective, he'll be delighted so far with the chances Aberdeen have created. Now it's time for them to put one of them in the back of the net.

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

Christian Ramirez, who hasn't had many efforts tonight, gets a chance to test St Johnstone goalkeeper Elliot Parish but again it's a simple enough save.

The story of the second half so far has been plenty of Aberdeen chances, but few, if any, have looked like beating the goalkeeper.

The last thing Aberdeen need is to lose this game. If they do the spotlight is back on them again and it's a big ask of the players' characters.

  18. Postpublished at 20:57 GMT 15 February 2022

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

Aberdeen are getting plenty of the ball on the edge of St Johnstone's box, but it's a sea of blue in front of them. Lewis Ferguson eventually get a shot away but there's not enough power on it to trouble the goalkeeper.

  19. Postpublished at 20:56 GMT 15 February 2022

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstone

Lewis Ferguson cuts inside, takes a shot, and it's closer to the top deck of the Richard Donald Stand than the goal.

Aberdeen interim boss Barry Robson's is already preparing another substitute, with Celtic loanee Adam Montgomery coming on for Jack Mackenzie. The young left-back obviously hasn't quite got over his recent injury.
