    St Mirren were shocked. They didn't cope with the change in formation from Motherwell and tried to sit in and contain them and it clearly didn't work for them. What did work for them in the first half was attacking football

    So it's no surprise that he is replaced with Tony Andreu.

    I did not see that coming at half time. You have to credit Motherwell for the change in shape and the team for coming back into it. They have been the complete opposite to their performance in the first half

  17. FULL-TIME Motherwell 4-4 St Mirren

    Extra-time to be played

    Would you believe it? St Mirren were looking certainties for the quarter-finals after leading 4-1 at half-time.

    But a deflected goal and two wayward crosses have brought Well back into the game and, while there was fortune in their favour, they fully deserve it for their second-half performance and they could have won it in normal time.

    Now we are into extra-time to decide who progresses.
