Andros Townsend whips it in on target, but it's a routine palm-over from Gomes to concede a corner that Watford easily deal with.

It was pretty hectic at times before the break, but so far the second half has been a tad disjointed.

Palace must have had a flea in their ear at half-time as there has been a bit more about them - Watford are being pegged back.

Watford certainly deserve to be where they are right now.

They have controlled possession and long before the goal they controlled the ball and they are very good at having dominant periods and making other sides pay.

They are a difficult side to beat.

Watford are firmly in control of this - Heurelho Gomes has had little to worry about in the home goal.

Palace are going to have to improve markedly if Roy Hodgson's Wembley dreams are to be realised.

That man Gerard Deulofeu is in the thick of it again, but this time in the Palace area - homing in on a cross from the right from Kiko Femenia that is cut out at the last second.

We have two minutes of injury time to come, with Watford camping out around the Palace area until the visitors break the shackles to race downfield.

But who's back to do his defensive duties? Gerard Deulofeu, who sprints back to make a good tackle as an emergency left-back.

Palace look shaky every time the ball enters their box - a free kick from the right bobbles through a couple of defenders until James Tomkins hoofs it clear.

Max Meyer has chance but doesn't take it, volleying weakly at Heurelho Gomes from an angle after being found by a cute chip from the impressive Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
