    England 0-1 Brazil

    Alex Greenwood goes for goal!

Lucy Bronze whips the ball in from the right initially. Fran Kirby can't get a shot away and eventually Greenwood picks it up. Aline in the Brazil goal has it covered, though.

At the other end, Jucinara is denied a goalscoring opportunity by the quick thinking of Keira Walsh.

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC 4

I’ve done my ankle, sometimes you twist it and it can feel bad initially, but after 30 minutes it can feel not too bad, but other times it can take weeks. Hopefully this won’t be too bad.

She is a great character on and off the field and she won't go off if she can help it.

Nikita Parris limps off but refuses a stretcher. Phil Neville isn't happy about that, though.

"Woah, woah, woah," says the former England defender, as Parris tries to hobble too quickly off the field.

Are England going to make a sub? NO! Parris is back on and is going to run it off.

    Love that.

    England 0-1 Brazil

Worrying for England. Nikita Parris is down in the penalty holding her left leg and is in a lot of difficulty.

She's been caught by Jucinara after trying to latch on to a good ball in from the left from England.

Parris has her head in her hands and is clearly emotional.

England need to squeeze up, Ellen White is getting so isolated as the gaps between midfield and the forward line are too big.

    England 0-1 Brazil

England make some headway down the left before the ball is swiped out of play by Brazil.

They try to build up momentum but the women in yellow easily intercept in the middle of the field, and the Lionesses are forced back again.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 35 mins

    England 0-1 Brazil

Ludmila was the Brazil player who was struggling with injury earlier.

She ran it off and played on initially but now she's being taken off on a stretcher and looks in a considerable amount of pain.

A first sub for Brazil is coming...and it's going to be number nine Debinha.

Although she wasn't quite ready for it. She hasn't even got her coat off before she's been announced on the tannoy!

That was great play from Nikita Parris, then Fran Kirby managed to get it out from under her foot but she just couldn’t quite get it on target.

  11. CLOSE!published at 31 mins

    England 0-1 Brazil

    Just wide from England!

Nikita Parris cuts across from the right and Fran Kirby moves it on to her left foot before taking a shot, but it trickles past the post.

  12. Postpublished at 29 mins

    England 0-1 Brazil

A blistering counter from Brazil ends with Marta taking a swipe at goal. That was curling but it goes over Carly Telford's goal.

And in a weird turn of events, the stadium announcer has just confirmed a yellow card has been given to Lucy Bronze for an earlier heavy tackle.

  13. 'Better from England'published at 21:28 GMT 27 February 2019

    England 0-1 Brazil

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC 4

It was unfortunate for Nikita Parris - she knows nothing about it and it just hits her!

That should give them a bit of confidence.

  14. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    England 0-1 Brazil

Brilliant vision from Karen Carney! The England forward floats a lovely ball into the box, initially for Fran Kirby, but it bounces up and falls to Nikita Parris to head in.

Unfortunately the Man City play knew nothing about it and it bobbles over the top of the goal.

    That's better from the Lionesses!

  15. Postpublished at 23 mins

    England 0-1 Brazil

Brazil's passing game is lovely to watch. They're super quick, super fit.

England are struggling to gain a foot hold still.

I'm inclined to agree with Sue Smith. I think Lucy Bronze has been treated pretty harshly with that decision for the penalty. The Lyon defender got the ball...or so it seemed in real time.

Steph Houghton, England's captain, was LIVID!

  18. 'Bad decision'published at 21:19 GMT 27 February 2019

    England 0-1 Brazil

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC TV

Initially I thought Bronze got the ball, it’s a great challenge – definitely not a penalty! Wrong decision by the referee.

Not deserved – it is so disappointing as a defender when you know you have made a good challenge.

Cool, calm and collected from the Brazil midfielder.

Andressa Alves slots the penalty past Carly Telford.

  20. PENALTYpublished at 15 mins

Marta weaves her magic into the box and Lucy Bronze goes in to stop her. Marta tumbles down to the grass.
