Andressa Alves, who scored the opener, whips it in with her left foot and although no-one can get a head on it, Brazil continue to pressurise the England goal.

Eventually Brazil concede a free-kick and the Lionesses survive.

Are Brazil a better team than England? No, but England are making them better because they are sloppy, they are not moving the ball at any tempo and the movement off the ball isn’t there. The players are in form for their club, but they are not showing it.

SheridanRobins: Well, that was poor from the #Lionesses, external. Really need to up the tempo and pull the trigger when we get opportunities.

Chris Owens:#Lionesses, external look good when working down the sidelines and crossing, but too often hoof it down Route 1 and it goes nowhere. England got to do better and hold onto the ball better if they are to come back.
