Brighton have had a couple of disappointing results but a cup run can really bring you confidence. West Brom have a good squad full of young players so it should be a great game tonight.

FA Cup Factfile: Given this is the most open #FACup, external for over 10 years you have to wonder why neither side is interested in going for it?

Yep, agree. There are only six Premier League teams definitely in the last 16 and two of them - Chelsea and Manchester United - play each other.

  7. 'Gruelling'published at 19:42 GMT 6 February 2019

West Brom v Brighton (20:05 GMT)

    Ian Dennis
Radio 5 live senior football reporter at The Hawthorns

    It’s such a gruelling schedule.

Brighton had 24 shots at the Amex in the first game but it finished goalless. West Brom’s fixtures are unrelenting in the Championship and the last thing they’ll want is extra time.

Both sides have prioritised the league so far rather than this competition and it’s carried on tonight.

  8. 'We'd prefer not to be here'published at 19:39 GMT 6 February 2019

West Brom v Brighton (20:05 GMT)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Chris Hughton: "We'd prefer not to be here but credit to West Brom. We didn't finish off the job at our place when we had lots of shots on goal.

"They are a very good outfit and are in confident mood. They've had a good season so our level of performance will have to be one that can create chances."
