Florin Andone is lucky. He's been naughty and not been seen.

He tangles with Sam Field and then, with the referee not noticing, plants an elbow into Field's face. That should've been a red card. No VAR here and Andone must be grateful about that. Unnecessary and nasty.

This has been one of the best moments of the half, a fine save from David Button to deny Jay Rodriguez.

It's a very brave game from West Brom with Jay Rodriguez and Hal Robson-Kanu playing far up the field and not seeming to be bothered about getting back to defend.

It leaves a lot of space for Bernardo and Bruno to get forward for Brighton from full-back.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 19 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

A couple of Brighton chances. Firstly Yves Bissouma strikes powerfully from outside the area and it bounces just in front of Jonathan Bond, who does well to keep it out.

And then, from the resulting corner, Florin Andone glances a header wide. Good work from both keepers to keep this level. Decent start to this one.

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

Another corner to Brighton after a lively run from Viktor Gyokeres, but West Brom can clear their lines.

  9. 'More purposeful'published at 16 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC One

There is more purpose and movement from West Brom at the moment. Great confidence and touch from Jay Rodriguez to shoot from distance and he has looked sharp so far.

It was a comfortable save in the end for David Button but he still had to turn it behind.

  10. GOOD SAVE!published at 15 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

Jay Rodriguez looks in the mood tonight. He gets the ball 30 yards from goal and wriggles to create a shooting angle. It is going in as well, that is until David Button gets down well to push it wide.

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Gary Flintoff
BBC Radio 5 live reporter at The Hawthorns

There is a decent turnout from the Brighton fans for a Wednesday night in the Black Country. The away end is far from packed, but credit them for making the trip.

However, there is a pocket of West Brom fans housed next to them in the Smethwick End and they are making plenty of noise.

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

The winner of this fourth-round tie has a home tie against Derby on 16 February to look forward to. West Brom have started brightly, with Brighton yet to have a shot on target.

  13. GOOD SAVE!published at 8 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

A chance for the hosts. Sam Field plays a ball over the top and Jay Rodriguez produces a fine first touch on the chest to give himself a shooting opportunity. The effort comes in from a tight angle, but is well struck and David Button does well to fling his arms upwards and keep it out.

  14. 'Front three for West Brom'published at 5 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC One

West Brom seem to have gone with a front three with Hal Robson-Kanu and Jay Rodriguez playing wide and Wes Hoolahan drifting in the middle.

Darren Moore has options up there and I expect their movement to cause Brighton some problems this evening.

  15. Postpublished at 4 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

The corner comes swinging in from the left wing and Jonathan Bond in the West Brom goal misjudges the flight of it, but luckily for him no-one can get on to it at the back post as the ball drifts out of play.

West Brom v Brighton (20:05 GMT)

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on BBC One at The Hawthorns

West Brom’s game is all about scoring goals. They can take teams apart but sometimes they struggle to close out games.

Darren Moore believes in taking games to the opposition, he's playing two up front with Wes Hoolahan in behind and they will be very attacking tonight.

Brighton will have to defend well today to keep them out.
