    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Liam Rosenior
Former Brighton player on BBC One at The Hawthorns

West Brom’s system has great rewards when you get it right but it also carries huge risks.

Most of Brighton’s chances have come from the full backs getting forward behind West Brom’s attackers and firing in dangerous crosses.

There's been plenty of goalmouth action.

    We just need a goal.

  6. 'An exciting game'published at 21:01 GMT 6 February 2019

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on BBC One at The Hawthorns

We’ve seen two teams commit to attacking football. Tactically it’s been really interesting – West Brom have been so expansive and that’s offered plenty of opportunities for Brighton to get forward. It’s made for a really exciting game.

It shows that Darren Moore wants to go out and win the match, pinning Brighton back to create chances.

Anthony Knockaert is causing all sorts of problems, finding spaces and showing real Premier League quality. Brighton will be disappointed not to be ahead with all the chances they have created.

There is no doubt in my mind that Andone’s elbow was a sending off. Brighton are extremely lucky not to be down to ten men.

  9. 'Would have been special'published at 45 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC One

I thought the chance had gone but that would have been a bit special from Hal Robson-Kanu. Excellent technique and he is so unlucky to see his volley hit the crossbar.

That might even have topped his goal for Wales in the Euros against Belgium if it had flown in.

  10. DISALLOWED GOAL - Andonepublished at 45 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

The ball is in the West Brom net, but Florin Andone's well-placed header is rightly ruled out for offside.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORK - Robson-Kanu (West Brom)published at 43 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

That is a great strike and now both sides have had an effort bounce off the bar. Hal Robson-Kanu is 22 yards out and catches a volley sweetly on the left peg, it is dipping and swerving, but not enough as it hits the woodwork and away.

  12. 'Livermore playing well'published at 41 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC One

Jake Livermore has been the link man so far for West Brom. He's shown some nice touches, some lovely distribution and is the key man for them between defence and attack.

Robert T Bruce: Brighton should be 2-0 up by now.

Mark O'Meara: Brighton should be ahead here. Lacking a decent finish.

  14. CLOSE!published at 39 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

It's getting better. Another chance for Brighton. Florin Andone, who should be off the pitch, cuts across goal, but just gets his angles wrong as the ball goes just wide. A good spell this for Brighton.

  15. WATCH: West Brom's Bond saves Bissouma shot from distancepublished at 38 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

Another clip from earlier on. This was another fine save from Jonathan Bond in the West Brom goal to deny Yves Bissouma.

  16. 'Has to score'published at 37 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC One

Leon Balogun has to score there. It's a free header, four yards out from another dangerous Anthony Knockaert corner but he's hit the bar. Head it down!

    Brighton should be in front.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORK - Balogun (Brighton)published at 36 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

So close to 1-0. From the resulting corner, Brighton's Leon Balogun heads against the crossbar, before Alireza Jahanbakhsh shoots narrowly over the top.

  18. Postpublished at 34 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

It needs a goal, and we nearly got it. Viktor Gyokeres shoots and forces a fine save from Jonathan Bond with Florin Andone's follow-up effort deflected over.

  19. 'Needs a goal'published at 34 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Gary Flintoff
BBC Radio 5 live reporter at The Hawthorns

This game needs a goal. It would not surprise me if some of the home faithful slope off for a half-time pie and pint 10 minutes early. The magic of the FA Cup is sadly lacking at The Hawthorns tonight.

  20. 'Andone lucky to be on'published at 33 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Brighton

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC One

If the referee sees that elbow from Andone, he would have had to send him off.
