    There was no sign of this turnaround 20 minutes into the game. Scotland were second best and looked more likely to concede again than to get back into the game.

    But credit to Alex McLeish and his players - they have lifted their performance and are now on course for Nations League promotion and a Euro 2020 play-off semi-final.

    The last win from a losing position came in a 3-1 friendly against Australia at Easter Road in 2012.

    What a difference a goal makes! The crowd is right behind the Scotland team now and the men in blue have their tails up. Stuart Armstrong has been the catalyst, driving Scotland forward and they are definitely the team in the ascendancy.
