    Liverpool 0-0 Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry gets the ball 25 yards out, moves it onto his left foot and rifles a shot just over the crossbar with Alisson diving for it.

If Bayern are going to score, you feel Gnabry will be involved.

Brilliant feet by Serge Gnabry as he sends Andy Robertson one way and the other but his cross is blocked by Fabinho.

Fair to say Gnabry has kicked on from his loan spell at West Brom from Arsenal.

Paul Walmsley: If Keita could pass he would be a brilliant player. Gives the ball away so much...

FHohnsbein: surely the high Liverpool intensity will cause the players to tire out in the latter stages of the second half? late Bayern goal incoming.

    Liverpool 0-0 Bayern Munich

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson pulls down Javi Martinez by the shoulder and gets booked. Maybe caught him on the foot too.

Martinez takes an age to do his laces up after that. I mean a six-year-old could do their laces up quicker. Fair to say Bayern would be happy with this score.

    Lyon 0-0 Barcelona

Barcelona have had their chances tonight, but so have Lyon.

Former Manchester United winger Memphis Depay is a man rejuventated and weaves past a couple of Barca defenders, but then screws his shot wide from the angle.

James Rodriguez is just bumped off the ball for Naby Keita - poor really by the Colombian. Keita's first pass is cut out, then his second attempt finds Andrew Robertson. He gets it over to Mohamed Salah at the back post but the Egyptian isn't expecting the ball and shoots wide.

It's evident to me that there's a massive difference in the way these two leagues play their football. In the Premier League we play it very quickly and in the Bundesliga they have lots of possession and are more patient.

Robert Lewandowski gets a rare touch in the box from Kingsley Coman's cross but Fabinho's great sliding tackle takes the ball off the Pole.

Bayern haven't looked anything like some of the great sides they've had in recent years. James Rodriguez - anonymous so far - has the ball about 30 yards out. Suddenly it's out to Joshua Kimmich then it's back at Manuel Neuer.

Arjen Robben is injured today and Franck Ribery is on the bench.

Bayern's ball retention has been poor, playing out from the back has been poor and their midfield play, at times, has been poor.

But what they have done is get to half-time at 0-0 so they are definitely in this game.

Liverpool play a cross into the box which Mats Hummels maybe heads wide - but the referee gives a goal-kick. VAR doesn't check for things like that though.

So so many chances just need to put them away Bayern Munich are terrible tonight!!

    Shayne

Mane misses too many chances... But when he finally smashes one in, all is forgiven.

    Bilal M

Genuinely fascinated to watch Liverpool if only to try to work out why they were desperate to sign Keita when he's inferior to all the other midfielders at the club "Biggest game of the season" and Klopp rests Milner ahead of Sunday and picks the 7th best fit midfielder he has.

Haseeb: Lucky Liverpool!!! Not punished by Bayern for those so many mistakes. Blessed Bayern!!! Not going down even after facing those 10 shots.

  19. Liverpool keeping Lewandowski quiet - so farpublished at 21:00 GMT 19 February 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Anfield

I don't want to tempt fate but Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski is the top scorer in this season's Champions League with eight goals in six games, and scored in Bayern's last four European matches in the group stage.

So far tonight, he has only touched the ball twice inside the Liverpool area and has not had a single effort at goal.

For all Liverpool's exciting attacking play just before the break, I can't help thinking that the key to any significant success for them tonight will be continuing to keep the Poland star feeding on scraps at the other end.

lfcway: Henderson has been immense so. So understated.

Sulaimon: Liverpool Vs Bayern Munich tie is one of the million reasons we love football. End to end action with high intensity, it's only lacking goals.
