These are the five most popular Google searches for Gordon Reid and these are the answers...

    1. Gordon Reid uses a wheelchair because he contracted transvere myelitis as a teenager. This is an inflammation of the spinal cord, which causes nerve damage.

    2. Gordon Reid is not paralysed, he still has feeling in his legs with this condition.

    3. Unfortunately, Gordon Reid didn't win the doubles. GB lost to Nicolas Peifer and Stephane Houdet 6-2 4-6 6-1.

    4. Gordon Reid was nicknamed "Gio" before he was in a wheelchair. As a Rangers fan, Giovanni van Bronckhorst was his favourite player and Reid used to play football in the same position.

Gold medal - Italy (handcycling mixed team relay)published at 21:19 BST 16 September 2016

Former Formula 1 driver Alex Zanardi has just won his second gold medal of the Rio 2016 Paralympics, helping Italy win the handcycling mixed team relay.

The three-man team, which also consisted of Vittorio Podesta and Luca Mazzone, finished ahead of the United States and Belgium, who took silver and bronze respectively.

Zanardi, 49, started 41 Formula 1 races in the 1990s before a crash in 2001 resulted in the amputation of both of his legs.

He won two gold medals and a silver at the 2012 Paralympics in London and he now has a similar total in 2016. An incredible story, and an incredible competitor.

Weir recently announced his retirement from the track after Rio 2016.

Curbishley said: "The invincibility we saw in London, the cloak of invincibility, just seemed to slip away a bit.

"I think we definitely saw a different David Weir here, I've been looking back at some of those races from London and he was just a different guy." Listen to the clip below.

Weir has not won a medal at this Paralympics, but has one last chance in the men's T54 marathon on Sunday.

David Weir has won six Paralympic gold medals in his career, but has had a frustrating time out in Rio.

In an incredibly honest message posted on Twitter, he has just said: "I came out to Rio with every intention on getting a medal. My training had been amazing, I feel fit and strong, and I was ready for Rio.

"I don't know what has gone wrong out here. Representing my country means everything to me and I want to perform at my ultimate best always but that's just not happened this Paralympics.

"I'm gutted I've missed my son's birth for this terrible performance, but I gave what I could. I'm deeply sorry I've let the country and my team mates down."

    Dunham wins individual freestyle silver

    Nick Hope
BBC Sport's Paralympics reporter in Rio

Reflecting on her second individual silver of the Rio Paralympics, 67-year-old Anne Dunham says it's been a "good show" from her and ride Lucas.

Dunham - who was also part of the team who won gold yesterday - made her debut in 1996 when the sport was first included in the Paralympic line-up.

"Back in Athens the hosts had their own horses and we drew lots for the others, but now we are a proper Paralympic sport with so many nations competing and a great standard of riders."

Commenting on rival Christiansen's second victory over her this week Dunham admits her team-mate and ride Athene are "just a little better."

Christiansen wins individual freestyle dressage gold

    Nick Hope
BBC Sport's Paralympics reporter in Rio

Sophie Christiansen says she's "so proud" to have won the individual freestyle dressage event and become GB's first triple Paralympic champion in Rio.

However, she takes time to pay tribute to veteran rider Anne Dunham who finished with silver behind her for the second time at these Games.

"I remember looking up to Anne when I first started out at the age of 13 and thinking she was just so amazing and how I would never be able to reach that level," she tells BBC Radio 5 Live's Reshmin Chowdary.

"It's a healthy rivalry and it's so good for the country that we could get one and two in that event. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be the rider that I am today."

It means the GB equestrian team have 10 medals - six gold, four silver.
