Will a player have an Asprilla moment tonight?

A decent finish from Pedro Porro. But the players are jogging back, there is no celebration.

Diego Simeone is fuming below us even though his team are three goals up.

    Is the comeback on?

Richarlison leads the charge down the right. His progress is blocked, but he does well to find Pedro Porro advancing to his right.

The full-back takes a touch before drilling a low shot into the bottom corner. Great finish.

    Atletico Madrid 4-0 Spurs

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer in Madrid

I've watched a lot of football but not sure I've ever witnessed anything quite like this. Not just those mistakes but Igor Tudor's decision to take Antonin Kinsky off.

What a horrible night for the young keeper. The Atleti fans actually gave him sympathetic applause but not sure how he can be consoled after that.

That is a super ball in from Antoine Griezmann. It is almost un-defendable.

Tottenham's defence is shocking again - this cannot get any worse.

Nice play by Newcastle as Anthony Elanga sends a good ball into the middle of the box and William Osula rises but can't keep his header down.

Guglielmo Vicario makes a stunning save to keep out a flicked header from the free-kick.

But Robin Le Normand is there to head ethe rebound over the goal-line, despite the best efforts of the Spurs defenders on the line.

  9. goal

GOAL: Atalanta 0-3 Bayern Munichpublished at 20:25 GMT 10 March

    Serge Gnabry (25 mins)

    Absolutely rampant.

Michael Olise produces a lovely touch and then plays the ball into the path of the marauding Serge Gnabry who drives into space and clips the ball coolly past keeper Marco Carnesecchi.

Clinical, incisive. Atalanta simply can't live with this.

Julian Alvarez takes a tumble under little contact from Pape Sarr and Atletico have a free-kick in a dangerous position on the right flank.

    Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona

Well, things aren't as dramatic here as they are in Madrid but this is still a highly entertaining game.

Newcastle are having a lot of defending to do here at the moment, though, as Lamine Yamal's weaves his way into the box before winning a corner when his shot is palmed behind.

Antonin Kinsky of Tottenham HotspurImage source, Getty Images

    Wow, wow, wow.

I have never seen that on a football pitch. What a huge call from the manager Igor Tudor.

Yes, the goalkeeper was at fault but that is confidence destroying for Antonín Kinsky.

  13. goal

GOAL: Atalanta 0-2 Bayern Munichpublished at 20:22 GMT 10 March

    Michael Olise (22 mins)

    Pure class from Michael Olise.

He drifts in from the right, along the face of the box, opens up his body and whips and dips a curling shot with that trusty left foot which beats the dive of Marco Carnesecchi and finds the bottom corner.

You fear for Atalanta a little here. Bayern look like they want to end this tie in one leg.

Barcelona have took control. Newcastle gave it a good go but the last four minutes or so Newcastle have dropped off.

You see how good Barca are when you give them time, it's a really good spell from them. It's going to be a long 25 minutes until the break.

    Chris Waddle
Former Newcastle & England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Newcastle are causing problems, it's not just their power, it's their pace, Barnes, Elanga and Osula are all very quick.

Barcelona have weathered the storm you feel, the first 20 or 30 minutes, the pace will have just dropped off from Newcastle.

  18. Postpublished at 20:20 GMT 10 March

    Atalanta 0-1 Bayern Munich

Better from Atalanta who emerge from their own half before Davide Zappacosta whips in a glorious cross from the right which just needed a firmer touch in the middle from Gianluca Scamacca.

The visitors have enjoyed more than 70% of possession in the opening stages, however, and are popping it around with supreme confidence.

Eddie Howe is repeatedly clapping his hands on the touchline, urging Newcastle United to maintain this intensity and to continue to press Barcelona high.

The visitors are gathering their breaths at St James' Park and moving the ball around.

Lamine Yamal can impact this game in a blink of an eye, but Lewis Hall has handled him well so far

  20. goal

    Oh wow.

Antonin Kinsky goes to clear a back-pass first time and completely fluffs it.

Julian Alvarez is left with a gaping goal and walks the ball in.
