Well that was a huge lunge from Antonelli, round the outside, into Turn One, he couldn't make it stick. He ran across the same patch of grass, came onto the race track ahead of Norris but had to give that back.
Kimi Antonelli is off the track! The Italian tries his luck on the outside Lando Norris but it goes all wrong and he ends up under pressure from the cars behind.
And now Lewius Hamilton has been passed by Oscar Piastri! The Australian takes back his fourth place in the closing stages.
We're nearing the end of the third sprint of the season and it looks like George Russell is going to return to winning ways. The Mercedes man has kept McLaren's Lando Norris at bay, while team-mate Kimi Antonelli is trying to catch the world champion in third.
Can anyone challenge George Russell Geirge Russell for the lead? Not yet. Lando Norris is trying but the polesitter is holding his position well out in front.
Valtteri Bottas shifts his Cadillac out of the way of the frontrunners but his former Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton has just had a brush with the Wall of Champions! The seven-time world champion is OK and he hasn't lost any places.
The gap between George Russell and Lando Norris is coming down a bit, but there's not enough pace at Norris' disposal to mount an attack on the Mercedes driver.
World champion Lando Norris is a second off the Mercedes of leader George Russell, with Kimi Antonelli right on the two drivers' tails. The top three have left the others behind now, with Lewis Hamilton the next car along in fourth.

Importantly, there is a lot of learning going on right now. Because don't forget this is the sprint, there is a full grand prix to happen tomorrow and everything that happens here today will be learning that can be carried forward to making tweaks and changes. They are allowed to make changes to their cars ahead of qualifying and the race. There is a huge amount of learning with limited practice sessions in a sprint weekend, this is where learning is done.
The front of the pack has caught up with the backmarkers and leader George Russell is not happy with his best buddy Alex Albon in P20. The Mercedes man navigates his way around the Williams but does let his pit wall know he's far from happy.

This is what George Russell did not need. He can't focus on building the gap and putting down lap times, he's got his eyes fixated on his mirrors because the McLaren of the World Champion Lando Norris is getting very close.
Alex Albon, Fernando Alonso and Isack Hadjar have all been into the pits in this sprint races and are at the back of the field. Arvid Lindblad is in eighth place and is on for a point in Canada before qualifying.
Race leader George Russell and third place Kimi Antonelli are separated by 1.6 seconds, with world champion Lando Norris sitting in the middle of the two Mercedes drivers in second. Lewis Hamilton is fourth and Oscar Piastri is running in fifth.

Kimi Antonelli will be carrying a couple of big flat spots, we've seen him lock the tyres up at least twice and this is a very high speed circuit. If you lock these tyres up at that high speed, you end up creating big flat spots, which create vibrations, which can hamper you in the sprint.
The fastest laps are still being collected up by Kimi Antonelli and the Italian is inching towards the McLaren of Lando Norris. The top three are being to bunch up now.
Lando Norris hasn't got another boost in his battery just yet to make a move on leader George Russell, so the world champion is keeping his tyres in check for another lap and hanging out in P2.
George Russell's pace is ebbing away out in front, and the Briton has also reported a bit of graining on his tyres. Lando Norris is keeping him sharp in second place, less than four tenths behind.

The trouble with Kimi Antonelli was, he got alongside his teammate but he locked a tyre, which says he is out of control to some extent and that allowed George Russell to nip back underneath him as Kimi ran wide.
Mercedes are going to be fuming because they had this race absolutely sewn up, now George is under threat from Lando Norris, Kimi has Lewis behind him.
Isack Hadjar's issues has moved Brit rookie Arvid Lindblad up to final points place in eighth.
Kimi Antonelli is banking the fastest laps of the race but the Italian is still not happy with how his battle with team-mate George Russell played out.
