We've just watched the Mercedes of George Russell locking up going into Turn One and having to do exactly what his team-mate [Kimi Antonelli] had to do in the sprint earlier on, which is abandon Turns Two and Three and go across the grass and cut his way around, missing out that entire section.

A lock-up for Liam Lawson, who has still not done a proper lap. So he's running out of time - and possibly running out of tyres.

This is a really aggressive Kimi Antonelli that we're seeing this weekend. And that's exactly what we want to see as fans of the sport; we want to see this aggression coming from the young Mercedes driver.

Canada is one of those circuits where actually getting tyre temperature in, which is so crucial in lap time, is not the easiest thing to do. The drivers are now having to do a lot more of that work themselves, so we're seeing them weaving back and forward, like they used to do back in the old days.

This has got me on the edge of me seat for Q2. I can't wait for it because if we get more of that, it's getting tighter and tighter.

At the start of this season, there were huge gaps from front to back, but that's closing up already with the upgrades and the learning that people are finding.
