It's interesting that Hamilton's fastest in the first sector because that's where the straights are.

I'm not sure how I will explain to the bosses why there is pet chat on the F1 live...

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli is back in the garage for a bit, as is quite a few of the drivers.

It's just Alex Albon, Gabriel Bortoleto, Arvid Lindblad, Carlos Sainz, Valtteri Bottas and Fernando Alonso out on the track at the moment.

Alonso has been on the radio to say he cannot turn the car and has returned to the pits.

Re cat post: Chin tickles to Zayd please. I'm sat here listening in the company of the cat too. Madam Boo is still a bit of an F1 novice as I only homed her from Cats Protection in November. She's a tortoiseshell, so it's Papaya for her.

    Witolda, Ely

    Love the name!

I bet Madam Boo is hoping for a Papaya win!

Kimi Antonelli's change in performance from last year to this year has been one of the most impressive steps up I've seen from any driver.

For me it's more that, okay you can't expect too much from someone in their first year, but for me this is the Antonelli people talked about through his junior career.

George Russell would say he always knew Antonelli was quick but it's put him in a pretty uncomfortable place in that team this year because for Antonelli, everything looks under control for him and he looks quick every time he goes out on track.

Kimi Antonelli is cruising at the top of the leaderboard. He has had a strong start to the race weekend so far and will want to continue his form.

He is currently four tenths ahead of team-mate George Russell.

The TV camera has just shown a young McLaren fan with an ice cream. I'm very jealous right now. It's roasting here!

Oscar Piastri has popped back into the pits. He is fifth currently, five tenths behind Kimi Antonelli.

The three cars on the medium tyres are at the bottom of the pack.

Sergio Perez P20, Lance Stroll P21 and Fernando Alonso P22.

Meanwhile, George Russell is back in the garage to get the set up changed in his Mercedes.

Re 11.52 post: Sounds like a classic case of your cat trying to "help". Any idea if he has a favourite driver/team?

    Rebecca, Telford

He's just a rookie F1 fan at the moment, so we have no idea who he is a fan of!

Zayd just loves watching fast cars zoom around and tries to grab them on the TV screen.

They're all running on the soft tyre at the minute, excluding the Cadillac and Aston Martin.

Normally at this point in third practice they'd be using the medium or the hards. That suggests they're saving the medium and hards for a race which might be more than one stop.

That would be my prediction at the moment.

Two-by-two: Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari. Maybe a Gasly or Hulkenberg to spice it up a bit.
