    The top three reach the cooldown room and Lewis Hamilton, who hasn't been in her efor a while, is admiring the furniture, commenting the sofa is even bigger than the press conference one.

    Hamilton, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli are watching the highlights on screen and the two Mercedes drivers talk through the race start, highlighting Ferrari's prowess and the places they lost from the front row.

    Onto the podium celebrations and Antonelli has wide eyes as he reaches the top step. The Italian national anthem is classic, and his dad below looks proud as punch, too.

    The flags are waving high in the crowds for Hamilton. They love him here in Shanghai.

    Get that champagne ready, it's time for Mercedes to party after another one-two finish.

    The post-race interviews are taking place and Kimi Antonelli has to stop for a moment to have alittle cry. The teenager says he "almost gave myself a heart attack" with his lock-up towards the end of the race but he's celebrating now as a Formula 1 race winner.

    "I'm so, so happy for you buddy," says seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to Antonelli.

    If Kimi Antonelli can improve and have less mistakes throughout the year, he's proven today that he can be as quick, if not quicker than George Russell.

    Liam Lawson adds to his points in the sprint with a seventh-place finish on Sunday, the second Red Bull of Isack Hadjar takes eighth and it's small joy for Williams after Alex Albon failed to start as Carlos Sainz ends his race in ninth.

    Kimi Antonelli has done it! The Mercedes teenager secures his first F1 win with victory from pole position at the Chinese Grand Prix!

    George Russell finishes second, Lewis Hamilton brings his Ferrari home in third, Charles Leclerc is fourth and Brit Oliver Bearman completes the top five in fifth for Haas.

    "You've made me achieve one of my dreams," Antonelli tells his pit wall.

    What a feeling this must be for the young Italian, still in his teenage years and leading a Formula 1 race on the final lap here in China, something he would have dreamt about as a young boy in karting.

    George Russell had some concerns about a one-stop strategy earlier on but the hard compound has seen the majority of the field through to the end.

    Kimi Antonelli leads his team-mate by 6.7 seconds and is almost there to take his maiden win in Formula 1.

    Greg: F1 has become so sanitised under these regs. Can’t remember a time when two top drivers described racing as ‘quite a fun battle.’ I miss the days when it was full aggression, drivers taking the cars to the limit.

    Steven: Can't remember when expected contenders didn't even start the race. Seems like it's almost Mercedes' title to lose already. No McLaren, no Max, easy pickings.

    Kimi Antonelli is now the best part of 10 seconds ahead of George Russell. When Russell got past Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc he started to work his way towards Antonelli, but Russell is now reporting that his "rear tyres are gone".
