Well that is extraordinary, he just came out of Woodcote, did Max Verstappen, and he has had so much more momentum. He's obviously used his overtake boost and George was a sitting duck.

    Lap 22/52

There was a rogue umbrella on track! A marshal ran out quickly to clear the danger, so the virtual safety car was only up for a few corners.

Hamilton has done the team job. Gave his team-mate every chance of winning it by backing up the young Italian.

Another Grand Prix when Russell looks nowhere near Antonelli. Is it set-up? Strategy or is Antonelli just better?

Downshift troubles or not Max Verstappen is closing in on George Russell's Mercedes. Russell can't do anything about the cars in front it seems but he has got lots of pressure building from Verstappen from behind.

At the front, you would have expected Kimi Antonelli to start closing on Charles Leclerc in the lead but he isn't doing. At the moment three laps in a row Leclerc has held him absolutely dead level. Very impressive from Charles Leclerc.

I’m sorry but the false start rules are too harsh. Lewis moved like 1cm and stopped before moving away when the lights went out. He gained zero advantage.

    Edward, Perth

A five-second time penalty, what a killer early on.

    Simon, Peterborough

Aagghh! That’s a brutal penalty there because Lewis moved slightly before then. Still, that’s the rules. We can’t argue with them.

This is the deployment everyone is talking about, the ability the Mercedes has to put the juice from the battery to the electric motor and into the rear wheels better than anyone else.
