    Charles Leclerc must be sweating in the cockpit now. The Ferrari driver is so close to a first win in 2026 but he has to follow the safety car round the track after Max Verstappen's late crash.

    Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli is informed about his five-second time penalty, which he thinks is a "joke".

    George Russell is on old tyres, Leclerc and Hamilton are on fresh rubber as we gear up for a one-lap fight to the finish.

    Russell hasn't pitted. He has stayed out on the medium tyres. he has gone ahead of Hamilton. I guess Mercedes are hoping track position will be enough to keep him ahead but it s not going to be.

    Charles Leclerc comes in from the lead along with Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton. The duo take on soft tyres for the remainder of this race - but George Russell stays out! The Mercedes driver is now up to second place, splitting the two Scuderia cars.

    Max Verstappen is climbing out of the car after going off at Stowe corner. The Red Bull is beached in the gravel and that's the Dutchman's British Grand Prix done with.

    There's a yellow 'whoopsie' sticker pit stop on offer noe with the safety car deployed - and drivers are all over it.

    Charles Leclerc is almost there for a first win since the United States Grand Prix in 2024 but there's a yellow flag out - Max Verstappen has gone off!

    With a poorly car, Kimi Antonelli is being given warnings for track limits. The Italian is still in 10th place but now the stewards have given him a five-second time penalty.

    [Wheel shield] is something to do with the ducting near the front of the wheel. The aerodynamic thing. It has interrupted the steering of the car.

    This might be it for Kimi Antonelli. The car is still struggling but the teenager is desperate to stay out and grab a vital point. Team-mate George Russell is fourth and will narrow the gap on Antonelli in the drivers' championship fight.

    Race engineer: "We think it is just the wheel shield, left-hand side."

    Kimi Antonelli: "The car is not turning."

    Race engineer: "Copy, we'll box the car, we'll retire it."

    Kimi Antonelli: "I can try at least one more."

    Race engineer: "Box the car, we're going to try and remove the wheel shield and carry on."

    Mercedes are ready for Kimi Antonelli to come in to the pits for some emergency surgery. The team are quick to fix the issue, but now the Italian is down to 10th place. Of he stays there, he'll take one point from the main race at Silverstone.

    Charles Leclerc is leading with Lewis Hamilton in second. Max Verstappen is in the final podium place.

    Kimi Antonelli is driving a car that sounds like it has a failing suspension part on it somewhere and if he has an incident they will have another yellow flag.

    Kimi Antonelli is still out on track, but he's limping in his Mercedes. The teenager is desperately trying to salvage his British Grand Prix, and Bono tells him to come in to the pits so they can fix the wheel shield.
