    Lap 68/78

I've got one Percy Pig left to get me through the rest of this Monaco Grand Prix.

    Good luck, little piggy.

The drivers and teams are ready to go again - and it'll be a standing start.

At the moment, as it stands, the championship has Russell 10 points ahead of Hamilton and Russell is going to drop to the back of the field with this penalty. I think Hamilton might pass him for second place in the championship.

  3. Hamilton under investigation for safety car infringementpublished at 16:06 BST 7 June

    Lap 68/78

The stewards are working overtime today. Lewis Hamilton is now under investigation for a safety car infringement, so too is Red Bull's Isack Hadjar.

Hamilton is in second, Hadjar is in third and Kimi Antonelli, penalty-free, will lead the field from the front once again.

  4. Race will resume at 16:12 BSTpublished at 16:03 BST 7 June

Get the kettle on quick! We're going racing again soon.

    Lap 68/78

Charles Leclerc is speaking to Sky Sports and he is adamant it was the brakes that caused him to crash. "It's like I had no rear brakes at all," he says.

"Today, I look like an idiot and when you look like an idiot for a mistake of yours, it's fine - but it's borerline dangerous."

Leclerc has just signed a new long-term deal with teh Scuderia remember...

  6. 'Engine pushed me into the wall' - Strollpublished at 16:00 BST 7 June

Lance Stroll talking to Sky Sports about if he was aware of damage to the asphalt. "I don't think it was the damage [that caused the crash], we've had engine braking issues all race, all weekend, all years. Some corners the engine is pushing, some it's pulling so it's doing different behaviour in different areas and on this lap it pushed me into the wall.

On if Leclerc had the same issue: "I think it's coincidence, we had different issues in the race. My issue was just my engine pushing me into the wall."

  7. red flag

    Lap 68/78

If you're joining us today, hello! It's been a busy old Monaco Grand Prix. The race is suspended and we're not sure if we'll get going again.

Charles Leclerc and Lance Stroll have crashed out at the same corner, Lando Norris has retired with more power-unit issues, Max Verstappen stalled on the line at the race start and Oliver Bearman and Valtteri Bottas have also left us along the way.

You're asking about the lapped cars, they are doing it in the pit lane. They are moving everybody from eighth place down, all of whom have been lapped. They are moving them to the front of the pit lane. They will then leave the pit lane in front, they are unlapping themselves in the pit lane. Then they will go around and join the back of the field before the restart.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff is looking at his phone in the Silver Arrows garage - he's probably just received the news George Russell has been handed a drive-through penalty for failing to serve his five-second time penalty correctly.

There are so many drivers with five-second penalties for speeding in the pit lane, it's hard to keep up with the red marks next to their names.

Pierre Gasly has just slapped his towel against the barriers in anger - not sure why - while Charles Leclerc is walking through the paddock with a face like thunder.

Ah. Resumption order! Does this mean we're going to get moving again?

Dodgy speed cameras and pot holes. Who says F1 isn't relevant to normal drivers?

Lindblad, whilst he has not pitted, has put the same tyres on. He actually hasn't changed tyres, you need to change the compounds so that is a bit of an odd one. Why would they not put another tyre on?

  14. red flag

Red flagpublished at 15:44 BST 7 June

In the mix of this of this red flag, I think Pierre Gasly was also been handed a five-second time penalty for speeding in the pit lane, with the Frenchman fifth as it stands.

    Lap 68/78

McLaren CEO Zak Brown on the pit wall tells Sky Sports there are a lot of marbles down at the last corner, and now the FIA is going to investigate the break-up of the track in the final sector.

All the drivers left in this fight - and we've lost a few today - have returned to the pit lane.

  17. Postpublished at 15:40 BST 7 June

    Andrew Benson

There was a radio message from George Russell earlier in the race. He said 'what is going on in the last corner?' and it looks like the track is breaking up, maybe that is what's going on?

  18. red flag

Red flag - race suspendedpublished at 15:37 BST 7 June

    Lap 68/78

Charles Leclerc's Ferrari has been removed but the red flag is out. There seems to be a problem with the tarmac down at the final corner.

And now the race has been suspended.

The safety car makes its second appearance of this Monaco Grand Prix, as Charles Leclerc angrily arrives back at the Ferrari garage. He is fuming as he recalls what happened at Turn 19.

Kimi Antonelli leads, Lewis Hamilton is second and Isack Hadjar is now third.
