The clock is ticking down and Lando Norris and McLaren haven't come up with a plan to take back control of this Miami Grand Prix. Kimi Antonelli is 1.8 seconds up the road, so second place looks like it'll have to do for the world champion today.
Charles Leclerc is back on the podium in third place, with Kimi Antonelli not under pressure from world champion Lando Norris for the lead of this race. The Mercedes driver can almost celebrate his third consecutive victory from pole position.

The tussle with Charles Leclerc on older rubber has taken it out of the Red Bull and now Max Verstappen finds himself in fifth place after being passed by the McLaren of Oscar Piastri.

The tasty battle is now on, as Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen 'yo-yo race' for that final podium place. Leclerc passes the Dutchman into Turn One but Verstappen has the boost button ready to retake the position around the outside of the Ferrari. It doesn't take long for Leclerc to attack again, and by the end of the lap, the Monegasque driver comes out on top.

I think this is good for Kimi, he is being put under stress and being stress-tested as a young, future star. He's doing incredibly well. Now they have one thing to worry about, he cannot make another track limit mistake, he knows what happened in the sprint.
Pete Bonnington is on the radio to Kimi Antonelli and it's a warning to the Italian not to exceed track limits again. Antonelli is 1.6 seconds ahead but he's already got two strikes to his name.
Max Verstappen is vulnerable on his older hard tyres. The Red Bull man has had to contend with a lot in this race, but is he about to also lose out on the final podium place? Oscar Piastri's engineer reckons things are about to get tasty.

My experience of Lando is that when he is in a race like this, he doesn't waste his tyres. He is in tyre-saving mode, he is sitting behind Kimi, leaving a second and a half, getting fresh air. I think he is conserving his tyres for a late attack.
Title leader Kimi leader is finding his rhythm now and Lando Norris doesn't seem to have the answers as to how to mount an attack. Charles Leclerc, however, might have the chance to fight for a place in the closing stages, as the Ferrari is inching up on the Red Bull of Max Verstappen for third.
Lewis Hamilton has had a quiet race after that early contact with Franco Colapinto and is running his own race in seventh place, with backmarker Fernando Alonso in 16th place on the horizon and ready to pass.
News on Max Verstappen. He may have crossed the line [leaving the pits] and they are going to investigate him after the race. Why after the race? They want to have more images and footage of Verstappen. Did he or did he not cross the line? They can't decide that until the race is finished, that's why they are waiting till after.
Kimi Antonelli has found a bit more pace on his hard compounds and is now 1.2 seconds ahead of world champion Lando Norris. Max Verstappen's hard tyres are a lot older, so the Dutchman has dropped a long way back on the front two.

The loss of grip due to overheating is the main problem here because the track is actually smooth so it doesn't actually take a lot of rubber off of the tyres so that means that Max has got a good chance of getting to the end with some rubber left on the shell of his tyres.
