It would be a dream getting another win. They have all worked so hard to get here.

You really feel there is still more to come as well from this Hull team. It's a great position to be in.

There is plenty on the line tonight for Hull City and Watford.

And quite literally with the Tigers aiming to close the gap to the automatic promotion dotted line to two points, while the Hornets are looking to move within a point of the play-off spots.

Sergej Jakirovic's side have been in excellent form, winning their past four and they had to show a different face at the weekend to grind out a 1-0 win at Blackburn.

As for Watford, a run of four games without a win (D2 L2) was compounded by the shock resignation of boss Javi Gracia the day after their 2-0 loss to Swansea following just three months in charge at Vicarage Road - a result which left them 10th and four points off the top-six.

Watford's under-21 head coach Charlie Daniels will take charge of the visitors tonight, along with academy coaches Dan Gosling and Adrian Mariappa.

  3. Will rotten Rovers run end against Owls?published at 19:36 GMT 3 February

Blackburn v Sheff Wed (19:45 GMT)

Things are going from bad to worse at Blackburn right now. Rovers are in the Championship relegation zone and without a win in their past eight league games (D4 L4).

It's a run of form so poor that boss Valerien Ismael was sacked following the 1-0 home defeat to Hull City on Saturday, with coach Damien Johnson taking temporary charge.

And yet a rare victory tonight at Ewood Park - where they have won just twice all season (D5 L8) - will move Blackburn out of the bottom three on goal difference above West Brom.

If Rovers cannot muster up three points against a doomed Sheffield Wednesday side, it will only raise further doubts and add to fears that League One may beckon next season.

As with every league game for the Owls since their hefty points deductions, the only real thing at stake is pride. Otherwise, it’s largely academic and the third tier almost certainly awaits for Wednesday.

Perhaps tonight is a dress rehearsal for League One next season unless Rovers can turn the tide. And fast.

  4. Phillips set for return to Yorkshirepublished at 19:34 GMT 3 February

    Sheffield United

One of the more eye-catching deals of deadline day was Sheffield United bringing in Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season.

The 30-year-old won almost everything with City but now the "Yorkshire Pirlo" is looking to get his career back on track at Bramall Lane.

Blades made two other deadline day signings, one of which is on the bench this evening in Sunderland loanee defender Leo Hjelde

Midfielder Joe Rothwell was also signed from Rangers for an undisclosed fee but neither he nor Phillips feature in the squad tonight.

  5. Blades easing towards safety?published at 19:32 GMT 3 February

Sheffield United have a great chance to ease further away from the drop-zone tonight.

They start the evening with a seven-point cushion having taken a 1-1 draw from Millwall at the weekend - with Chris Wilder delighted with the result at the "hardest place to win".

Oxford gained a much-needed victory at Leicester a week ago but followed up with a 2-0 defeat at home by Birmingham on Saturday, a first loss for manager Matt Bloomfield.

It leaves the U's second from bottom and five points from safety.

They will hope for a boost from deadline day signings Aidomo Emakhu, the forward who joined from Millwall for an undisclosed fee, and Huddersfield defender Ruben Roosken, who was brough in on loan.

  6. As it stands in the Championshippublished at 19:30 GMT 3 February

The Championship table before kick-off on 3 February and Hull City's Lewis Koumas

Hull City will be hoping to make the most of their game in hand tonight, knowing a win will take them within just two points of the automatic promotion spots.

Meanwhile, managerless Watford can close the gap to the play-off places to a point with victory at the MKM Stadium.

Blackburn, who are also under an interim boss, will be looking to climb out of the relegation zone at the expense of West Bromwich Albion, who do not play tonight.

Oxford United are also trying to reduce the deficit to the Baggies and Sheffield United will have ambitions of ending the season far higher than their current position of 17th.

  7. All about the survival battle in League Onepublished at 19:28 GMT 3 February

The six clubs in third-tier action this evening are all in the bottom 10 in the table.

Bottom side Port Vale won at Leyton Orient at the weekend to just about keep themselves in touch with the rest.

Vale's game against AFC Wimbledon got under way at 19:00 GMT and it's still goalless.

Elsewhere, second-bottom Northampton are bidding for their first win in nine league games against Barnsley at Oakwell.

Burton and Doncaster, the other two teams in the relegation zone, face each other tonight. The Brewers drew with leaders Cardiff at the weekend, while Rovers' three-match unbeaten run in the league was ended with a loss at Bradford.

  8. As it stands in League Onepublished at 19:26 GMT 3 February

The League One table before kick-off on 3 February and Burton boss Gary Bowyer

All four clubs in the League One relegation zone are in action tonight.

Just three points separate second-bottom Northampton and Blackpool in 16th, so there's the prospect that things could really be shaken up by the end of tonight's three matches.

Barnsley started the evening 15th but a win against the Cobblers will take them into the top half of the table.

And while the Tykes are currently 12 points off a play-off place, they have FIVE games in hand on sixth-placed Huddersfield.

  9. Big night at both ends of League Twopublished at 19:24 GMT 3 February

Only eight teams in League Two are playing tonight but each game will have an impact at both ends of the table.

Notts County, who are on a four-game winning run, can climb to second with a win over mid-table Gillingham.

Should the Magpies lose, both Swindon and Walsall are well-placed to move into an automatic promotion spot with victory.

The Robins ended a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over Barrow on Saturday and visit bottom side Harrogate, who start the night five points adrift of safety.

The Saddlers have won just two of their past nine games (D5 L2) to slip from first to seventh and make the trip to relegation-battling Bristol Rovers, who won for only the second time in 18 games (D1 L15) at the weekend to leave themselves four points clear of the drop.

Elsewhere, Barnet host Crewe with both sides looking to keep in touch with the play-off places.

  10. As it stands in League Twopublished at 19:22 GMT 3 February

The League Two table before kick-off on 3 February and Notts County boss Martin Paterson

Notts County, Swindon and Walsall all have the opportunity to move into the League Two automatic promotion places tonight, or at least strengthen their grip on a play-off spot.

At the other end, Harrogate could climb off the bottom with a win, while Bristol Rovers could move seven points clear of the drop.

  12. Soggy on the south coastpublished at 19:18 GMT 3 February

    Portsmouth P-P Ipswich

The first thing to tell you all is that we should have had a fourth Championship match to bring you tonight, with Ipswich visiting Portsmouth.

But dreadful weather on the south coast left the Fratton Park pitch waterlogged, with no let up in the forecast all the way to kick-off.

It's the second time the game has been postponed - it was originally scheduled for the start of January but the pitch was frozen.

Hopefully it will be third time lucky when it's rearranged again.

Portsmouth now travel to Preston on Saturday with Ipswich away at Derby.

    Good evening!

The chaos of transfer deadline day is over, though a few deals have still been filtering through today.

But now full focus is back on the football matters on the pitch with 10 bonus games across the EFL this evening.

All of tonight's Championship, League One and League Two fixtures were postponed for various reasons earlier in the season, including adverse weather and international call-ups, meaning we get a second bite at the cherry with them.

We're not complaining about another matchday to fulfil these games in hand, of course, so let's take a look at what is coming up...
